| Quote: SEB "OK, we haven't got a consistent design BUT - we are Primrose and Blue, P&B. Loads of team are variations of red or blue or red and white etc in both football and rugby. But who else is P&B? THAT is our brand. I love the variety and would hate us to settle on one style.'"
Agreed. It's a fact of life that clubs need to make money, and a different style of shirt each year is a certain way of making it. P and B is certainly the Warrington brand, same as Wigan are Cherry and White (although that pink affair last year looked like it had run in the wash), and the absolute classic at Hunslet, Myrtle, White and Flame.

| JD thanks for the swatch of what you propose is primrose (looks a bit bright yellow to me) but I said I would stand to be corrected. I agree with Teeside and SEB we should be proud of the primrose and it should be distintive from any old yellow and be a constant. Much in the same way that Blackpool FC are the Tangerines and any old oranges wont do..."Three cheers for the Yellow and Blue, hip hoooray", just doesn't cut the mustard with me.

| Our home kit should be like Boca Juniors' home kit; distinctive and consistent. Away kits matter little, a reverse would be nice but there won't be much money in producing two of the same kit every year.

| Just have a cycle so you know what year the design will be, have hoops, stripes and a V on a 3 year cycle.

| HY isnt that part of the problem, surely a good start would be to have a definative set of design rules to start with? The Club could look at the archives and ask the fans to get involved. In your system, if Saints alternated from a 'V', to hoops, to stripes they would end up with Stoke City shirts via Wigan, I'm sure they would be pleased

| I think that until the 70's our "brand" would have been either P&B hoops which go back to the days of Jackie Fish holding the cup in the early 20th century or the iconic white shirts with P&B hoops as worn by the 1954 team that won the double. Since Murphy's reign we have had various designs that would last 2 - 3 years until super league came along when it seems the only criteria was that P&B was incorporated somewhere in the design. Some of these jerseys have been good and some challenging to the eyes, we should really settle on one main colour scheme (with subtle design changes every year or two) for the main kit and change the second strip yearly if that's what's required financially.

| I propose we have one like the Manchester United 2001 kit. Reversable, with unique styles on each side.

''RALLY ROUND'': |

Just a quick update everyone. We have been told that the 91 jersey will be ready in 6-8 weeks, and the 70s one will be 3-4 weeks. We need to satisfy minimum order requirements to make the project cost effective. Therefore we are going to put them on pre-sale on our site www.relix.eu in the next few days. We will require a minimum order of 40 jerseys on the 91 jersey, and 25 on the 70s one. Therefore, we will use the pre-sales to gauge how well they will sell, and if we reach the minimum requirements on each jersey we will go ahead with the manufacture. However, if these figures are not achievable, we will have to fully refund those that placed the orders. Sorry if this seems a bit wishy washy but we do not want to end up with a box full of jerseys that no one wants. I will say however, that judging by the initial responses to this thread, the 91 jersey in particular, should not be an issue. If anyone would like to know more about pre ordering, pm me please.
