| You make a fair point Sadman even though I have to disagree with Westwood on the bench. Bring TP off the bench for me IMO.
I'd have Foster off you, but with a fully fit squad, like you I don't think he'd be in the team (unless Soliola remains a backrower). Wilkin would be a great utility player. Roby & Graham obviously. TP I would have welcomed with open arms as replacement for Anderson but I'd prefer to have Louis in all honesty.

| Saint Wolves.
Hodgson
Jmonas
Bridge
Atkins
Foster
Briers
Lomax
Graham
Roby
Morley
Westwood
Wilkin
Puletua
Monas
Carvell
Harrison
Soliola
Based on the current form of players in the last month or so I would go with something like that. I actually rate Soliola unlike a few on here doesn't half in hit hard in defence and is no-nonsense type of forward.

| I would imagine most Wire fans would agree that we are superior to the Saints man for man.
But they are level with us on points? Is the difference that they have an advantage with Royce over TS?

advantages of a tighter league. I am excited as all hell. Hope Wigan drop a few points.
But you can only field 17 and that is why we are all so close.

The difference (as I'm sure Sally is WELL aware, after he takes his tongue out of his cheek) is our MUPPETRY in certain games.
Stains' dropped points games, have been reasonably consistant. A couple of narrow ones, where the games could have gone either way, or games where they've been outclassed. IIRC, on each ocxcasion, they've played their strongest side.
Our's have all been from rank bad performances
The 2 v Hudds, were like going back in time 30 years for an away game's performance (ok, Cardiff's injuries didn't help)
Cats, both sides were pooh, but we allowed them to WALK through our "defence"
Hull, well, 5h1t3, just 5h1t3
I'm not to ashamed to admit it, but there are Stains players I'd have in our 13 (quite a few), BUT, there we go, I'm big enough to admit it. It seems blind pig-ignorance still exists for the Scouse dontwannabes

| I would say Roby, Graham, Puletua and Soliola would get into Wires 13 when everyones on form, none of the others.
Foster only useful for goalkicking, and Wire have Hodgson for that.

| I've seen this combined teams posted between Wigan and Saints fans and Wigan and Wire fans and it's normally somebody in the middle of both that could give a reasonable assesment of it so i'll have a crack-
Hodgson- Ageing better then Wellens and brings more of an allround game
J Monaghan- The best winger at either club
Bridge- The best centre at either club imo
Shenton- A very solid option
King- 2nd best winger at either club and his best position imo
Briers- Is getting himself on the field so beats Pryce straight away
Lomax- Very impressed with him since his move into halfback
Graham- Nailed on pick
Roby- M Monaghan is class and would get in any other superleague sides starting 13 but not Saints
Morley- Nailed on like Graham
Westwood- Has developed into one of superleagues best back rowers
Puletua- A quality player
Harrison- Not sure 13 will be his long term position but he'd have to get a place in a combined 17
subs
Perry- Needs a run of games now but is a class act
Wood- Hugely underrated player
Soliola-Impact from the bench with instructions to hammer people in the tackle
M Monaghan- 2nd best hooker in superleague
10 Wire and 7 Saints in my side so not a great deal of difference and Roby and Graham are that good they can carry that sort of quality difference on their shoulders and keeps Saints in with a shout.

Why is that? He's been playing really well this season. A lot of booming hits and becoming very dangerous with the ball and his link up with Shenton.

He seems extremely far off the boil. I don't know if he isn't comfortable in his position but the times I have seen (esp Wigan) I would personally have had a bag of potatoes in his place if i was a sts fan. I will be fair though I have only seen him a handful of times, as a Wire fan. But to suggest he is of the calibre for the all stars st-wire team is laughable.
I am sure he pulls out a good booming tackjle and run now and again but he isnt better than
Westwood
TP
L. Anderson
Harrison
and arguably Solomona in his stride.

| A question for you Sad One, which players in the current Wire squad would you like in your Saints team?'" ]
From a saints fans point of view I think Ben Westwood is an awesome forward and any fan of any club would have him in their team like a shot. (only my opinion and feel free to disagree).

| Slightly dissapointed with this, and the Saints fans must be happy. Puletua is a real robust forward and I'd loved to have seen him in a Wire jersey.
Nay mind!

You keep saying this, I think your yardstick for 'really well' may be wrong, really well for how naff he's been before possibly, really well in context to rest of the league - No.
I've watch him in at least 5 games this year and he's done nothing - he's not been awful, he's just been solid, so unless he's been brilliant in the other 7. I'll bet you he's done far less than someone like Solomona who I and many others have criticised heavily on here.
