Do we want steadiness or creativity? If you want both, put Solomona at 6!! Anything but Clarke! INFACT pull Gary Hulse in on loan!!!

Too steady, if you paired Clarke with Myler you would have very little creativity in the halves. Neither of them are noted for taking on the line that often, Huddersfield have Robinson, Brough and Lunt who all like to take on the line, Luke Robinson has certainly upped his game in recent years and Brough is always a danger.
I`d go with Myler and Bridge in the halves, Michael Monaghan can drop into first reciever at the back end of the tackle count for the kicks.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

I'd probably go with that too. However, I wonder if Smith might be tempted to stick Clarke there to shore us up in middle defensively, especially as they have Robinson/Brough/Lunt scooting from Dummy Half?

| tbh, i was trying to keep the backline intact, but if atkins is back we could do him and blythe at centre. Or evans.
Thinking about it, last time bridgey played in the halves he was pretty good, much better than when he was a fixture at 6.

david hodgson a solid winger
one of the worst defensive wingers about and poor under the high ball.
lawrence is playing very well at centre at the moment

My thinking is similar to yours along the lines of Atkins returning and putting Matty Blythe back to right centre to link with Joel Monaghan which has worked very well for us so far, the Giants left doesn`t look anywhere near as big a threat as their right so pace on that side doesn`t look that important.
Thats why i`d play Rhys Evans outside of Atkins on the left to hopefully nulify that left side of Huddersfield's which looks to have some pace in Jermaine Mcgillvary and Cudjoe, i`d presume Cudjoe will be right centre with Grix at full back.

I agree - think we need someone who is prepared to attack the line - i think both Bridge and Grix are capable of this - Grix has great footwork but lacks pace - so i would opt for Bridge who can turn a half break into a length of the field try. Its just the last tackle kicking options that worry me hopefully Monas brings his "A" game when it comes to attacking kicks.

| Why would you make unnecessary changes to accommodate the absence of one player? The concept of Hodgson at 6 is particularly crazy.

Agreed. The more players playing their usual positions the better. Brett at 1. Monas at 9. Bridge at 6. Simples.
