Black Backgrounds/Animal.gif To some greatness comes naturally

| Think this could be a great idea if it gets the right backing. Not sure why its being held at Leeds other than RFL Headquarters being at Leeds. Wigans ground would have been a better option.

I hope they do to be fair. Would make it a lot more interesting the year after.
There's just no middle ground in the international game, you've not NZ + Aus, and after that you have minnows. That team on paper should probably beat the England team, and I'm looking forward to it (But as has been said, timing of it is wrong).

| Quote: Paul Youane "Guess all the ones moaning about this ruining our game against Salford (oh FFS get real it might make it an even game) are the same people who moan about rugby league having no presence in the media and about players going to rugby union for the experience of international competition.
No suprise in this because its all the same narrow minded, can't see further than the end of their own nose, self-interested, biggetted(sp) rugby league fan that will cause the game to die by drowning in its own self-pity.
Did somebody really write to the RFL to complain, christ on a bike. They'll probably complain that the RFL didn't respond as well - guess what; they have things that are just a teeny, weeny little bit more important than your stupid e-mail of complaint that is on a par to the Wigan fan who complained about Morley and Carvell getting off their bans last year.
I love the idea and will be there supporting the concept, couldn't give a toss who wins and accept its on a Friday for tv.'"
I think everyone moaning on here must be wearing a flat cap.

No, the ONLY issue with me is the timing and organisation behind it.
I think the game/idea is brilliant.

| I think we all need to stop being parochial and start to support these initiatives for the good of the game.
No matter when it is played it would cause some disruption.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

Agreed.
I also think that initially it should have been played at one of the smaller grounds (Widnes, Wire, Leigh, Doncaster) and build up the interest over a few years.
Saints or Salford next year could also be used.
As I said previously it should have been played on a rugby free weekend to encourage all RL supporters to attend.

Some is better than major, a Friday before a bank holiday monday the players could back up easily.

| At the minute, the team picked shouldn't beat England, Fitzgibbon is covering second row and loose forward at the minute!

| A couple of things.
The timings not ideal, i'd have played wednesday without a doubt.
Secondly, you're all moaning for nothing, theres no way on earth Atkins will be let near an England shirt again anytime soon after November and Harrison may get a sub spot by fluke, especially if Widdop, Burgess and Ellis come over. 4 or 5 down at most

Not that shocking is it!!!
As for Fitz playing loose + 2nd Row, Hoffman should/will be in the first XIII I'd imagine whether by coaches pick or otherwise.
