| I can't believe people are standing round Matt King's rugby grave, wringing their hands. Lets see what the consultants say, and not speculate like a bunch of 70 year-old fishwives
And as for Littler and Nanyn. FFS I've never heard any thing so ridiculous in my life.
Littler. There's a reason why he's where he is....he's crap and no-one wants him.
As for Nanyn. Is it April fools day!!! No Super League experience, and not in the first flush of youth either. Didn't want to make the step up to Super League, when clubs asked years ago (see Neil Turley about 10 years ago too - 2 ordinary players in their comfort zones). Add this to the fact that Nanyn has his own ozone layer (see the digs at Solomona in early thread, who maybe fat, but counteracts it, by being one of the best ball handling forwards I've ever had the pleasure to watch). I think some posters have been at the Tennants Super a little too early today. If we need replacement cover, we have back up. It's called the U21 side. Not a pair of has beens/never will be's

| The mentions of Littler and Nanyn weren't serious, I'm sure.

| King has always struck me as fit kind of guy. As daft as it sounds, I would wager he is a fast healer.

| King is a huge loss, but it's in an area that we're very strong in.

Doesn't work like that with ligaments though. There's only so much you could do, especially if its a cruciate. If that's gone, it's 6 months minimum.

How long can that be?

Yes you are right, after the graft has been done the knee is braced for quite a long period and the muscles wither. The rehab is long and I would say six months as a return is a minimum. Medials are not as severe as (I think) they can be fixed via arthoscope.
I still can't walk properly four weeks after having a chronoplasty and a meniscotomy (basically trimming the knee meniscus and filing down cartilage) and my knee is still twice the size it should be.
Hope King gets some good news anyway.

You want to have a word with your surgeon mate, he's clearly a pervert - why is he going in through your arris to fix your knee problem?

Depends on the grade of tear, 4-6 weeks probably about an average for that providing it hasn't completely gone and doesn't need surgery. They initially thought all i'd done was my medial and thats the time scale they gave me, only to come back a couple of weeks later after a scan and say my cruciate had gone as well. Ouch.

Yeah, medials are nowhere near as severe.
I had my cruciate reconstructed in September, your back running around 8-12 weeks after but then it's still a couple more months at least until you can play contact sports. You also need a month or two of prehab especially if your medials gone, good few months in total regardless.

No offence to grix, who is a good utility player, but i feel he is too slow to play in the centres. Evans is more than likely going to be King's successor when he returns to Australia so i would suggest throwing in him now to gain some much needed experience before he becomes a first team regular next season.

Don't use the I word, last time I said we might have insurance on the players in these kind of incidents I had everything calling me daft.
As for people putting Evans before Monaghan at Centre, madness!
