I don't like de-railing threads but I just wanted to say:-

- you said you wanted Danny Maguire to break his neck
- you alleged a Warrington player failed a drugs test

I'd much rather take the experienced fullback who can kick goals (Hodgson) over a petulant, spoilt cheat from Wigan who we'd have to pay well over the odds for anyday.

Brilliant argument....ones playing at full back in the state of Origin the other is more suited to sitting in the back of an orange estate.


Fact Sam Tomkins is a great prospect
Fact his kicking game is ordinary
Fact he was poor at Stand off v Kiwis
Fact he was poor at Full back V Australia
Fact he will play ok./well v Papua New gunea at either fullback or stand off
Fact He will stay at Wigan for a long time
Fact no fan gives credit to an opposing teams star player especially if they are a niggly little turd...

Realistically you are not going to get the likes of Billy Slater or Brett Stewart, i would have gone for Ben Farrar (23yrs of age) who Catalan signed, he looked a class act when filling in for Brett Stewart.

I cant actually decide if you really think Sam is average, or your just another desperate wire fan trying to convince yourself that Wigan arent really that good. To anyone whos not totally biased against Wigan, Sam is easily one of, if not the best fullback in the league after only playing a handfull of games in that position

He looked average (if that) against superior opposition, but having said that, the whole England team did. He was taught a lesson in playing stand off when Wigan played Wires at wigan though by the god that is Lee Briers
