I'd say Wigan are the biggest club and everyone else is making up the numbers. Plus, you have all those really cool flags.
I don't know why anyone else bothers.

Would be a great signing for the Wire - it's exactly what we need - we've lacked an out and out loose forward for years now!!!
And Cas just about to embark on a critical Stadium building process or get kicked out of the league, I'm sure £300K would help put the JCBs from Digger Land to better use!!!'"
£300k wouldn't significantly reduce the funding gap which threatens our stadium plans but knowing Cas they'd take it even though our bargaining position should be something like Carvell,Riley,Cooper plus a cash adjustment.
As regards the smug references to Cas as a small club I suspect most fans on here weren't watching the Wires at Wilderspool where attendances were lower than ours and the toilets just as bad. What a new stadium did for Warrington it could do for Cas providing we follow your lead commercially as well.
PS great contribution by you guys, on and off the field, to one of the best ever SL spectacles on Saturday.....and no I don't think Westerman's goal kicking would have won it for you because frankly he's not very good in that department.

| It'd take more then 250k 2 years of a 100k contract to buy out + a transfer fee + a player at the very least, not a chance he will be sold if the club want him, he stays because we don't need to sell.

Difference is Cas don't need to sell, and could get a lot more then what Warrington can afford/would give up from an NRL team.
Not to mention this is just like you lot with Sinfield last year what do you do, draw names from a hat and whoever comes out you decide said player is signing for you, even if there's no link, no need for the player to be sold, and the main thing, the fact the player wouldn't want to move out of Yorkshire (something he's said himself) because he's a 20 year old with a young kid.

Pretty much what Wakefield were saying last season about Atkins, and Salford fans about Myler..... and look where they ended up.
Money isn't a problem to Moranovitch. I don't know of any NRL team that would pay the kind of transfer fee that he can afford. If Westerman wants to win trophies and achieve something in his career its just a matter of time before he moves to a big club, whether its Warrington or not.

Considering Warrington can't be called a big club yet, just remember where you were a few years ago before spouting stuff like that.
Cas are aiming to be like Leeds/Saints/Wigan, the new stadium will help achieve that and keeping players like Westerman is what's going to help it.
Atkins was always going to leave Wakey, it was sell him or the taxman would shut the club down.

On what grounds?
Having a grade 'A' licence application, our own stadium, a 10k plus average attendace, under 18's and 20's team's competing to win their league, first team competing for 2nd spot, holders of half of the domestic honours, semi-finalist to regain our half of the domestic honours, 7 out of 37 of the England squad play for us, 4 of the Wales 37 play for us.
Yeah, really small club, struggling to renew our licence next year!

| frankly the pies will always believe themsleves to be the biggest even if they get relegated and spend 4 years in the lower leagues.
it's the local identity thing that wiganers love and makes all other towns think they are a bit odd.
The fact remains they were the biggest club simply because they were fully professional and could buy who they wanted and pay what they wanted .
oh and 'our' maurice,

I think you'll struggle!!!
Wigan have a rough population of 300K (whole metropolitan borough) and average almost 14K per game
Leeds over 700K and average 15+K
Stains 180K and average 11K
Wire 200K and average 10K
Cas 40K and average 7K
Attendances based on last years figures.
I personnally think Cas do VERY well to average over 7K per game, considering your population is only 40K, I can't see how you'll ever average over 10K, i.e. over 25% of your population - therefore I doubt Cas will ever be classed as a big team, as you just won't earn enough revenue - not consistantly anyway!
