| Quote: Rogues Gallery "We didn't play them at Murrayfield. Take the Murrayfield results out of the equation (for all teams) and who would have the best attack and defence.
Perhaps if Wire had made the top eight last season they may have had a more difficult game.'"
So basicly we could all choose the results we liked then discard the results we wern't happy with and anyone could claim the best -defence- attack- nicest looking team whatever

Great ownage.

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "At the end of the season you will have played Salford three times in the league as you both finished in the bottom six season. It's an advantage to Warrington. maybe to make it fair they should give the winning teams the two points but NOT include the points difference in the final league tables.
A reasonable compromise, wouldn't you agree?'"
It's an odd compromise, I'll say that. I don't like the idea of a lob sided schedule, but messing around with points difference as well makes an awkward situation even worse.
Anyway, you got to play Huddersfield, we got to play Salford. We put 60 odd points on them both (albeit one was in the cup game) so even if we had swapped with your mega tough game chances are we would have still had the better points difference.
You're top of the league by 4 points and are pretty much nailed on to stay there. If I was you, I'd just enjoy that rather than worrying that the diamond encrusted gear stick on your ferrari chafes your zebra fur driving gloves.

| The fact remains that we have improved massively since last year under Smith. As a number of us suspected, with a good pre-season under our belts & with Smithy getting the culture & ethos right, not only do we have the best defence, but we are an attacking team who entertain the fans.
If anyone has a gripe with that they must be mad!

| A slight embellishment to the greater points difference reference (I appreciate this is a tangent) Ourselves and Saints have scored the most tries (96), it is the goal kicking where we have failed to make the 'for' column count. Rectify that and we will be comfortable in both columns.

Haven't we signed a recognised kicker for next year??...
I think this is where Tony Smith is quite adept....He is like the best snooker players, always thinking 2 or 3 steps ahead.
It wouldn't surprise me if he has already earmarked Briers and Morley's replacements for 2012 or 2013 and has Mr Moran ready to do the business with the chequebook.

| Quote: Dyson "This is one thing that always gets my back up. I think the title of Genius is used far too loosely in today’s world. Makes me cringe when you hear people state Ronaldo is a Genius because he can strike a great free kick, or Tiger Woods is a Genius because of how far he can hit a golf ball.
Now don’t get me wrong I think Mr Smith is doing a great job and more......But Genius?'"
I wasn't trying to say that Smith is a genius, more that Paul Cullen was sorely lacking in the coaching department, if he couldn't get something relatively simple like a defensive system drilled into what was a very talented squad of players.
The more this season progresses, with Wire holding a top 2 or 3 position, the more I think the Cullen years definitely were a wasted era, because, talent wise, this squad isn't that far ahead of the side at that time.

But again through the imbalance of the Magic weekend. I know that's your good luck (or our misfortune).
Anyway let's see how the rest of the season pans out. It could be that our exit from the Challenge Cup (aided by the bent Wire ref ) will be to our benefit in the latter stages.

Not sure that is true and not sure it even matters, you can only play the team in front of you.
Magic Weekend
Salford 16 Warrington 68 (+52)
Wigan 28 Huddersfield 10 (+1icon_cool.gif
Wigan 16 14 0 2 544 258 28
Warrington 16 12 0 4 513 238 24

I'm confused. We are 31 'points for' behind Wigan now (according to Sporting Life) if we remove the Magic Weekend we would be 71 'points for' behind?
I'm not sure it matters though pal.
