Well Wigan obviously got the better of that deal didn't they. You have now had to sign a 32 year old injury prone overseas player to take Mathers place.
Why didn't you keep him?
Why were Huddersfield only prepared to give give Hodgson one more year?
There were quite a few on here who had their reservations on signing Hodgson when it was first muted.

If you have you may well be in trouble. Transfers do not count on the salary cap. Since Gleeson came to Wigan we have won more games than Wire thanks.
Pryce was a risk, yes but a low cost English risk, again time will tell.

I wouldn't have been happy had it been Wigan.'"
Were you saying the same thing about Adrian Lam? David Furner? Craig Smith? Trent Barrett?

Gleeson was brought in to be a game breaker was he not? Percentage wins mean zip if they fail to yield.

They weren't 32 or injury prone when we signed them worst examples ever!

Non of them were 32 when they first appeared for Wigan. Non of them had major spells out of the game.
I'm saying that Hodgson is a poor player, I am saying it's a risk that I wouldn't like Wigan to take, and I said exactly the same thing when about us signing Sean Long.
Your already taking the risk with Briers, I don't see why you are also doing it with Hodgson.
As I said previously, why are Huddersfield not willing to take that chance?

| What are the implications of signing Hodgson in terms of the oversea quota for next year. As far as I understand we would have to release two players to get under the oversea player/trained limit of 5. Can anyone confirm?

Pryce gave up the final years of his lucrative rugby union contract. Why do you think he signed for Wigan on a contract that was "low cost". Not sure what time will tell - that I was right about him all along?
It seems strange that according to Wigan fans all their signings are low-cost / on pea-nuts yet you spend the full salary cap.

So 30/31 is okay, but not 32? Pretty sure Lam had suffered a broken leg and Smith did his cruciate not too far prior to siging.
So a player misses a few games after a clean season previously and he is injury prone? Does that make Roberts injury prone? Is Cameron Phelps injury prone?
To compare a straight line is the usual rule of thumb, not sound waves.
