50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |
|
| I can't believe someone actually answered the question (even more stunned as to who fell for it).

| Quote: "The stewarding yesterday was very poor. There was a group of Fev fans allowed to almost wander up to Ben Westwood when he was taking the first conversion. There was another group being allowed to walk up and down in front of the stand. The West Stand should have been left open for visiting fans. I walked up to the ground from Bridge Foot at about 2.15pm and there were a lot of very drunk Fev fans wandering around the town centre pubs. I then went into the Red Lion for a couple of jars and found it full of some very verbally aggressive Fev fans.
Opening the West Stand would have meant that all the Featherstone fans could be together and would have prevented the confrontation they had with the stewards.'"
i also went in the red lion for a drink before the game with my wife, but when we got to the bar there were 4 blokes stood just in front of the bar and one man decided to pull his togger out off his trousers and wave it around. and they wonder why the stewards stand there staring at them in the match.
if someone can do that in a full pub, then they need watching in the ground were there are a lot more children around.

No, no twisting. Verbal irony is to express the opposite of what you mean.

Irony is where you say something but mean the opposite. i.e. it's raining outside and you say "Nice weather today isn't it".'"
thats not irony thats someone talking daft..to me irony is these fev fans spouting about our stewards being aggressive but they`d come off 2nd best if a fight broke out

In an ideal world the stewards should have gave a warning and if they carried on acting up they should have got the police involved to throw them out. Instead they went straight in, grabbed a couple of lads and got filled in for their trouble and had to be rescued. A couple of lads got threw out, the rest of their mob joined them voluntarily.

| I completely agree with the view of the Rovers fans. Several stewards did bugger all bar stood arms folded sneering at the rovers fans. However unbeleivably at the same time not doing their job of keeping things safe in the ground..
same assholes were stood in front of the Salford fans and when that kicked off went in heavy handed shouting crap like "I've been itching to tear your f**kg head off".
They're embarrasing.

| Quote: Ian 77 Redux "Why? Because all of your fans are double hard barstewards who can handle themselves if things get nawty? Grow up mate. I don't think the issue yesterday was the stewarding per se, I think it was the fact that the West Stand should have been opened. Then, when a load turned up at kick off, there would have been no issue with a full stand (quite the opposite).
Anyway, apart from the tool pipe near me who continually sang to Matt King 'are you a black man in disguise' I thought the Rovers fans were a good bunch on the whole and I enjoyed watching their team play.
71 - RL supporter has a go at stewards for thinking they are '10 men' then, in the next breath, says that if said '10 men' stewards DID kick off implies that they would get battered.....is that irony?'"
the winner i was refering to was the POLICE where did i implie anyone would get battered???

| The stewards are idiots i saw that at the Salford match when the steward said that if they were staring at all the Fev fans then why didn't they just let the Fev fans in the West - then there would of been no trouble - sounds simple to me. They open the West for the likes of Quins and Catalans and Fevo take alot more fans. Stupid.

| Quote: Wire_Yed "From what i saw, there were 2 stewards who need a little man management skills. A bald scouse one who seemed to be either a head steward or supervisor. regardless of if there is a problem always maintain a professional attitude, he didn't and another one with a bald head short stocky fella who was staring at the crowd like he was ready for a fight, he was stood on the west 20 line. There was no need for a lack of professionalism for what were just excitable rovers fans enjoying their day out.'"
the bald headed stocky fella was the one i was refering to my m8 tried to shake his hand and he wouldnt

Alot of your fans were being massive 'assoles' at the game yesterday. And I was hoping a few were going to get a good hiding by the orange jackets if I'm honest.
Mainly middle aged men, ed out of their heads acting like a bunch of teenage chavs. There was at least three occasions when the said goup launched beer down onto the stewards at the bottom, that was probably why they were staring into said group. Who was the idiot on the green polo shirt?
I understand it was your big day out, but it doesn't excuse the behaviour of some of the yobs that made the trip from Featherstone. So before having ago at the stewards, who I though were very lenient yesterday, have a look at yourself.

Let me guess - your mate was p*ssed as a fart? Drunk people always want to shake hands.
To be honest these problems would not have happened if people A) got into the stadium on time and B) behaved themselves and found somewhere to stand where there was room.
