The future looks bright.
Myler
Eastmond
Tomkins
Wheeler
Shenton
Roby
Graham
Hall
Lomax
Farrell
Mossop
All young players who should be playing international rugby now and in future years. I am sure there a few more but these are the ones I have seen the most of.'"
Add Harrison, Cooper and Mitchell to that list and yea it does look good

| Eastmond is a very well rounded player. His electric pace and general confidence has allowed him to slot into the saints team in a number of positions out wide to get used to superleague. Whenever he's had the oppotunity at 7, however, he's jumped up in his level of performance. His organisation is good, his passing is slick and he's a constant threat with the ball in hand. His kicking game also seems pretty good. Also, after a couple of unsettling instances early on, he seems to have come to terms with the physicality of SL.
I've seen a lot less of tomkins, but what does strike me, in short, is that he's a bit of a - he's got that annoying bit of niggle that a [inasty[/i half back has. I expect him to turn out into a right canny player who the other fans will hate.
During the saints/wigan game at the JJB earlier this year, the level of all round skill displayed by both of the above in a tight physical game was outstanding.
If you look at the top, established, british scrum halves, you've got Long and Burrow, both of whom broke through on merit of their pace and evasion. In their early careers, their passing, kicking and organising ability was poor and something they've slowly leaned over the years (Long moreso than Burrow, but he had to because he's lost his pace).
Eastmond for sure has a much, much better half back's game than either of those two at the same age.
I've hardly seen Myler, but he's had the hardest job of them all and seems to be equitting himself very well. If he does move to wire it'll be very interesting to see how he goes.
Look out for Wheeler, though. He's going about his business, out of position, very well without any fuss - always strikes me as one of those who just [iknows how to play the game[/i. Classy.

| Wasn't Luke Robinson the next great British halfback?

There 10 types of people in this world.... Those that understand the binary system and those that dont: |
|
| Luke robinson is doing just fine, playing really well in a team third in the league. 3rd for now anyway.
