| Quote: Supreme Optimist "Watching for around 10 years, worst memory was the semi-final at Widnes and when Nat Wood didn't find touch on a penalty, and then Wigan virtually scored in the next set and won the game, anyone remeber that year?
Good memory, was the hot dog.'"
2004, we went on to Cardiff and got raped by St Helens.

| New Year 1994.
Jiffy had a blinder for you lot in a really close game. Mike Greg giving away that penalty in the last few minutes which Botica slotted to win the game 8-6. Absolutely defeaning atmosphere from start to finish, as packed as I ever saw Wilderspool. Proper derbies in those days.
And of course, the two points were quite crucial in the final league standings I seem to remember

I remember that being Cullen for going in with the knees in the tackle....
could be wrong though
Those were proper rugby matches.

I did - although not the greatest game, nice bit off biff, amazing with those confused American "fans" wow that was a big hit. Lovely experience.

| I saw a video tother day and first thing I saw was the start of the 2nd half of Lancs cup final v pies a long time ago ...Wigan kick off, the great Tommy Martyn catches the ball and runs 40+ yards to score - wow! I d settle for a Matty King similar try tomorrow. Now the Wire.

| When we played them in 2001 after SKY moved the game thinking we wouldn't give them a contest, we were 12-0 early and went on to win.

Yes it was but he didn't. I think Smith then gave them an extra ten for dissent thus making it a certain score.

The worst decision of his career acording to Rusty. As for the further ten metres, it didn't really matter when Botica was kicking.

This was one of my first, and best memories of a Wire v Wigan game. Great atmosphere on a packed Fletcher Street end, and a game to match it.
Despite our coach just resigning, a Vagana hatrick and Tony Tatupu's best performance in a Wire shirt led us to victory. Never realised John Duffy made his debut as a 16 year old in this game.
Remember hiring the video of this game and watching it about 3 times the day after the match.
