Remember Higham and Mathers were not wanted by the pies and each of them wanted a secure future playing at Wigan, who move them on....
Whereas Gleeson has been sounding the horn for a long time that he wants out off our club......wish granted. |

Why is it, its just part of the game. Moving to a rival club in these circumstances hasn't exactly endeared him to the Wire faithful.
It wasn't as if we desperately needed the money like with Harris and Sculthorpe, with Gleeson it was a case of get him out of the club because he doesn't want to be here. I for one will be giving him some stick on Friday, and expect most of the crowd to be doing the same. |

I'm sure the Pies will be giving Higham and Mathers grief too, it's all part and parcel of the game. It adds to the atmosphere and there is going to be one hell of a one on Friday!!

Exactly...some people have short memories....
On the subject of Harris (mentioned earlier) he may have quit the club and got us out of a hole with the funds from the sale but the manner in which he fashioned his exit was particularly disappointing...!! |
