We have an extra dimension with Briers in the team. He has his critics, but he adds so much. I know he missed a tackle that resulted in a try today, but his work ethic & tackling has improved so much under Smith. He actually looks like he's enjoying that side of his game now too, and is putting a few shots on folk.

| Monas looks like he can score whenever he takes the line on in the opposition's '20'.
Begging the question - why the hell hasn't he been doing so?
Excellent performance, although he is much better when Briers is on the field.

he has being doing so, unfortunately due to the way we used to play, he didn't have any opportunity to cause doubt in the mind of the defence. He was doing it a lot last year, and the defence wasn't giving him any space as there was no other threat around him, then he gets tackled and get's 'clarke' style abuse.

Good point, similar to the one my mate made. With King looking like a genuine threat on the outside now, Monaghan has a yard extra to move into.

I thought the whole side enjoyed that side of their game. We were forcing the error almost every set, Huddersfield just couldn't handle how intense our defence was.
It was great to see the lads so motivated today, they looked like they enjoyed playing at home, which is brilliant!

| I think Monaghan has been playing well for the last month or so, sometimes things dont seem to come off for him but it now looks like things are starting to go right for him.
Maybe we dont need Orford after all
As for Briers, he totally bossed the game first half. He is playing like a lad that needs a new contract imo. And that aint a criticism, I just hope that he continues in the same vein and leads the side to some kind of success before he departs. As much as I knock him it would be great if the lad won some silverware at warrington.

I thought he was just as good, if not better against Bradford last week. He looks alot more confident with this decision making and ball distribution. Looks like TS is starting to get him to play to his potential.

| He did well, still wished he passed it inside to Higham when he picked up the ball from a charge down in the second half, rather than putting a kick in towards Grix. Apart from that little thing, he was very good indeed. He did well defending in the 1st half when Huddersfield seemed to target him by running down our left hand-side alot.
