i thought the rule is that you can pass it forward but only still within the in goal area
ie player on the deadball line passes to another player on the ingoal side of the try line but can't pass it forward beyond the try line.

THIS certainly used to be the case, don't know about the modern game, any on fancy asking red hall for clarifcation, had a look at the rules, it does not say you can't! |

We used to have 3 point tries as well so even if it was legal to pass the ball forward in some dim and distant time it doesn't make the suggestion that it is legal now any more valid. |
