Quote: Uptoncat "To be fair with the amount of money you spend on players year after year you should be giving quite a few teams a whooping as you call it.

If you don't break in to the top 4 next season it will once again go down as a season of under achievement. This is not a dig, I like to watch wire and Ben Westwood came throught the ranks at my local amateur team so I have a bit of a soft spot for your side.

That you didn't make the play offs this time round can only be described as terrible, I know you were very unlucky with injuries but in sport everyone has to go through time of adversity and I'm sure your board will have budgeted for a place in the 6 at the very least.

You should be very exciting to watch next season should your new signings gel with the rest of the squad, however Leeds have proved on numerous occasions that you can't simply go out and buy success, you need the grafters such as Westwood and Wood.

Good luck for 08 apart from against us of course!'"

Spot on, if we don't make the top 4 next season with the squad we've assembled then we never will.

Quote: Catpisstastic "i only saw the second half today but i was cringing that king got sucked in 3 times in the first 10 minutes in defence, he'll get crucifed on here next year for that.'"

Matt King was at fault for both the Eels tries, he came charging out of the line for the first Eels try attempting a big hit and Parra threw the long ball which left his winger with an overlap of 2 on one. He did this a few times in the first half but the Storm got away with a couple of the others.

The 2nd Eels try was very similar to the first, again King rushed out leaving his winger totally exposed with an overlap. The tries he scored were great work from Hoffman which left King with a run in for the 1st and the 2nd one looked like he had lost control of the ball from a short range barge over, it didn`t matter anyway as that was right on the siren.

It was a good game though, lots of big hits with plenty of claret on show, Inu was unlucky twice as that ball from Tahu deserved a try by itself. The turning point was when Riddell went off in the 1st half as the momentum swung then, Riddell was dominating the ruck and causing the Storm a lot of problems.

Have you also counted the many times that King drags his apponents into touch with his charging defense, which no doubt has saved many tries.

Great to hear this. I have had a good feeling about the potential of Monaghan at our club since the announcement of his signing.

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union. www.squadbuilder.co.uk:1883.jpg

Not only does he appear to be a handy player. He is one tough hombre too.

This thread got me thinking, could the club actually sell a 'Monaghan Watch'. I'm on the lookout for a new watch, y'know to tell the time and stuff. If the club produced one with say, his face on, I think i'd be interested. I hope others would support this too.

[quote="Eddie Hemmings said not ":1h9um51j] "Remember last time they were here, the Huddersfield Giants, they lost to a Luke Walsh drop goal. He's only scored four drop goals in his St Helens career has Luke Walsh and each and every one of them have been scored by Luke Walsh"[/quote:1h9um51j]:

But you'd get one and think 'WOW, this is the best watch I have ever owned'. You would look forward to using it so much, but over the following few months you would gradually become disillusioned and eventually come to realise it is as bad a watch as all the other watches you have ever owned. You'll find yourself looking forward to your next watch hoping that that'll be 'the one'! icon_wink.gif

Or, shortly after putting it on for the first time he'll walk into a door and it's face will suffer a nasty crack. Or it will lose time, proving to be not as quick as it should be...

Have you tried ceefax page 888. It has sub-titles for the BBC's major programmes.
