My original point was that there was more money coming through our club than the so called biggest club in RL, if you go back a couple of pages you'll find the original comments.

Just read on sportinglife "Wigan were willing to play on the Monday but BBC were desperate to show the tie of the round " . Amazing really ... BBC can't even guarantee when the Superleague show will start on a Monday night , but what a flap they get into when their broadcasting schedules are threatened. Maybe Rugby League needs to be re-branded as Snooker .

Profit is calculated assuming your debtors (from sales, i.e. turnover) actually pay up and don't go bankrupt. So strictly speaking, "Cash is King".
You are spot on though about turnover, it can easily 'flatter to deceive'. |

I found them.......
I still stand behind my post which you quoted for some reason as if it was incorrect, that went along the lines that a bigger profit ultimately will be more beneficial than a bigger turnover.
I would be happy to learn that we were bigger in both departments, as I don't know, but, then again ultimately don't care, as I support my team rather than whoever says is the biggest team. The intention was to explode the myth that some posters may have had, not necessarily you, that a big turnover was the be all and end all.
Wasn't the original thread about ground ownership and the ability, or lack of it to stage a cup game? Tiressome |
