Funny enough I never thought either Johns or Langer ever showed more than glimpses of their talent for us, but still get lots of mentions.

I have only been watching Warrington for five years after converting from football so for me I would say Ben Westwood. Not a flair player but a mountain of a heart and a nice man too.

Why Johns is mentioned at all on this thread baffles me completely.

You would not think that if you had seen him when he first came to Warrington playing at centre.

I have read & heard the shocking tales but it must be good to have seen him improve into the player he is now?

There was nothing wrong with Westwood when he played centre.

I seem to recall Ben was blamed at the time for Gaskell's lack of try-scoring. I think Gaskell has gone on to prove that he deserved all the recognition for that himself.

No pleasing some people on here, at times. As Paul Youane says, nothing wrong with Ben when he played centre, at all. Fair enough, he wasn't Mal Meninga, but come on...pretty decent centre as I recall, who's obviously improved further when he moved up to pack.

That just about sums up my thoughts on the matter............. although I'd probably include Bobby Fulton alongside JD.
