| I think it's easy to be critical, but they are trying. I mean, Marketing wise, we don't know what budget they have for this year, but you can bet that given the current climate, this is something that has been trimmed this year so they'll be juggling resource a tad.
They've come up with sales promotion activity, somebody mentioned Leeds and a scheme of theirs earlier, well we've done this, the Celtic game was bring a friend for a fiver for season ticket holders etc, so the club are coming up with new initiatives. There seems to have been a lot more PR this year, so they are obviously looking for cheap wins kinda thing.
I think on the marchandise side of things, we could do more. Regardless of results, there's a renewed optimism at the minute, you could cash in on this, but it needs to be now, and of course there'll be an outlay. When Smith arrived, stuff should have been produced, the 'Smith We Trust' or whatever angle, definately. The club could use us, get a cross section of Warrington fans and basically say 'What would you buy/wear/stick in your car', kinda a focus group, quirky stuff, T-Shirts with Smith & a slogan perhaps, light hearted stuff like, like the 'Penny T-Shirts' which sold well & quickly. In a weird way, right now, he's what we all believe in, more than any player, the club, anything, it's Smith. So he'd be the most likely person you'd spend your cash on right now, sort of thing, be it, a car sticker for a couple of quid.

| Warrington Bank Quay, Warrington Central, Bus Station etc. should all mention home of Warrington Wolves and/or a poster with information also as mentioned by someone earlier in the topic all the Welcome to Warrington signs should mention the club.
Supermarkets, gym's etc. should display posters for the next game instead of just targeting pubs like we do at the moment. It's a family game so not everyone will see those posters at the moment.
Use social networking like Facebook more, at the moment the clubs Facebook hasn't had an update for a month and yet there's 5,511 fans and the potential for more to always join. It's a free way to get messages across.
We have also got to get the kids at an early age supporting Wire before they start supporting teams like Saints just for the glory supporting.

As in the forum? May well do. But those things usually turn farcical.
Could have been tons of things to 'celebrate' arrival of Smith but i suppose head were kept down incase it brought in another false dawn.
Any ideas can always be sent free will to the club. However many just don't feel like it would be worth it and don't bother. Because they believe they are not listened to.

| Bring a wolf and get in free.
My wife was going on about buying a pet so i suggested getting a wolf. She said a sensible compromise would be getting a dog that looked like a wolf and filing its teeth down ino points.

With a little bit of effort I'm sure that the club could arrange a competition leading up to one of the big games coming up. Invite all the shops in town to dress their windows in a Warrington Wolves theme, and for everyone that does it give a couple of tickets free, and for the best one, provide a few hospitality places or something.
This IMO would get a bit of a buzz within the town centre shops, would get them promotion maybe in places like the Guardian, the Programme and the website, and get the club quite a bit of publicity.
I've often thought it is something they should do in the build up to the season, but it could be done leading up to any set game.

| instead of those little posters in pubs how about putting up a billboard sized ad promoting next home game on the major roads in and out of warrington maybe on winwick road and on a57 going east and west from town
that's how cronulla advertised their home games 6 or 7 years ago, always thought it looked really good when i drove past on my way to work

and now 6 or 7 years later they're on the verge of going bust and getting kicked out of the league....
