| I really cannot fathom why you decided to pick out Clarke from the teams performance last night.... everyone was below parr. I know you've said that you're not blaming him, but you really are as you went on to complain about him, strange that you decided to do it after we lose a match. When we win, nobody says a word, but when we lose, Clarke is cra-p threads pop up. Evans was terrible in defence, Harrison was dropping balls all over the place, Ryan Atkins did sod all, BRIDGE was just non existant, for a player meant to be playing at 6 that night he never did anything. Clarke was definitely not worse than any of the players on Friday, and he isn't on any other night, at worst he's just average, which we have a fair share of players like that in the team, but they don't get blamed.

Like I said on another topic, when you are at the top there is only one way to go when every team wants to beat you.
Two Challenge cups back to back --- good wins, too, take a lot to live up to, and I would worry also if one of your top playmakers was coming to the end of his career.

I know, what'll Widnes do when Tony Myler retires

BRIDGE - Not poot a foot wrong in any other game this season (playing out of position)
EVANS - Fantasic game against leeds . Not put a foot wrong in the other games??
CLARKE - 10 years at the club playing in a normal position . Granted behind a beaten pack. Gives away pentalties and thowing forward passes left right and centre?
Anyways It wasnt about this particular game... As i said maybe my timings wrong..
THE QUESTION I ASKED IS.....
Should we let him go now and give someone younger a chance????
I am not going to defend my question AGAIN!

The fundamental issue Bobster, is, there doesn't appear to be anybody looking like stepping up in the U20s at the moment.

I'm with Bobbie on this.
Were fine with a combination of Monaghan and Higham, thats whats brought us our success. Clarke adds nothing, we've become a very quick ball playing side and Clarkes very basic slow game will never compliment our style of play.
If we need someone to step into the hooking role after Monaghan and Higham then Louis Anderson can play there, its a position he's played before and its the position that got him noticed as a promising player in the NRL.
Clarke will always be defended on here regardless so i wouldn't bother Bobbie.

I must admit Im not the bst when it comes to being upto date with the u20's But I do watch a lot of the championship games.. One of the young lads plying there trade down there must be worth a shout. Pick the best of the championship and if they want to come Give them a couple of years Working with Mike M and Mick H ..
Huddersfield seem to be good at spotting the championship talent With the Likes of Lunt and McNally to name just a couple..
Surely for what it would coast its worth a crack?

Maybe it got him noticed, but id rather Clarke there than Louis, Louis is a completely different player now than he was 5 years ago, alá Benny Westwood, he'd be like a fish out of water now at Hooker would Mr Anderson!

| Even though JC has given us good service I think it would be a mistake to offer him another deal. The times right to make a change and another deal would just block the path for young hookers coming through the academy. Although he's probably 1 or 2 years off SL Keith Holden looks very lively around the ruck and doesn't shirk a tackle. He lacks size but as a young lad he's probably still got some growing to do. I'd question whether Mickey H is worth another 12 months. Either way I can't see us starting next year with two 30+ year old back up hookers.

Look for another half back from Saints or Widnes?

| I think Tony will rotate the hookers john and mick to save face for him being it his testimonial year.
he can use then against teams... when we need more speed use micky, when we need control use clarke at hooker. NO WHERE ELSE! end of year... goodbye but thank you very much for your service and all you've helped it achieve in your time here!
