YEP. They forced Leeds to cut their tickets sales for the cup game against Wigan because they had a cricket game on as well.
Lets not forget though we are only playing Friday night because the MET didnt want to handle our game whilst there is rugby union on at twickenham on Saturday (ignoring the fact that there is an England game on on Friday at Wembley) |

well maybe not the horse racing, But why would the met not be at the football games. I thought police had too be at football games as well as stewards. |

Not entirely sure the problem at Headingley is a police problem, I think it's a case of access to the Western Terrace and North stand having to share access to the CC ground. Not to mention the shared press facilities.

The rugby pitch is normally the car park for test matches at Leeds. That will be one of the reasons.
