| Quote: Tony Catsmith "WTF?'"
I think he is reffering to Paul Cullen as being a great talker after the event like on Boots N All over his ability to prepare teams before the event as per his failings with us as a coach.
He has a point with some of what he said, ive always viewed Paul Cullen as 101% passionate about the game and the town but his ability was very limited both as a coach and as a player at the top level, its his aggression and passion that got him by as a player and its obviously his silver tongue that got him by as a coach with us for so long as he must have put in some top performances in the board room ala Boots N All to get a new 2 year deal and to stay for as long as he did on the back of constantly under performing and under achieving.

He reminds me a bit of you Rob. Why use one word, when you can use ten thousand, every week to tell us that Clarke is crap.

| A Stevo commentary one from the Leeds-Wigan match that made me laugh;
'McGuire has just come inside his partner Rob Burrows.'

This should be interesting, bounce up the threads where you claim i slate John Clarke every week or is it just your usual made up rubbish.
It will be the latter, more made up garbage thats spouted on this board on a weekly basis by the usual culprits.

Some people need ten thousand words to realise what is staring them in the face though*. i.e) Wires71 comments on the suitability of the incumbent coach dated as far back as 2006.
*not that I am saying Clarke is crap however - just limited.

Spot on, and its these same people that were constantly telling us in far more than 10,000 words how great a coach Paul Cullen was and how he was the person to take us forward as a club.
Its posters like me, yourself and one or two others on here that chose not to bury our heads on the sand during the above era, we are realists where as quite a few on here live in their own fantasy world where Warrington are concerned, they aint even brave enough to admit it when they get things like the above wrong.
How many from the usual culptits on here have you seen admit they were wrong about Paul Cullen ?
You know the ones, those who were constantly telling us that he was the coach to take us forward and how wrong we were for questioning our inconsistent form and poor results under his leadership.

Rob, you are always right of course. And you had the cheek once to call me pompous; I looked up the word in a dictionary and there is a picture of you in all your glory.

This is the standard reply you get on here when one of the Cullen worshippers who has got it wrong in the past and isn`t big enough to admit to it so they try and put a spin on things with some attempted humour to side track the issue, predictable but a fair effort all the same.

| Say what you want about Cullen but bar the second half on sunday we are no where near as good or as enjoyable to watch. And that when all is said and done is why i watch the sport and pay my money.

Just for clarity, you're saying that you don't criticise Clarke, on here, frequently ?

I have never worshipped Cullen. You make him sound like some sort of Aztec idol.

Mark, to be fair, Rob never criticises Clarke so he's right to take the moral highground.

JWP's got you here mate. I know JWP has posted the link but just in case you miss this Rob, this is what you saidI have never been a fan of Jon Clarke and ive made that clear in the past'"
Quote: Rob Wire "His pause and then pass either left or right doesn`t really fool many people and by the looks of things it hasn`t fooled Tony Smith '"
Quote: Rob Wire "Clarke isn`t that sort of player, he is a grafter and little more else. '"
So not only have you slagged him off in that post but you also make it clear that you have in the past. Nothing up with that, might be better to be consistent.
As for the Paul Cullen thing - I'm sorry Rob, we ran out of medals last week; 71 got the last one. I've already admitted I was wrong about Cullen - have you admitted that you changed your tune about King and Fa'afili as yet?
And as for the 10,000 words bit. Don't take it all so seriously. I assume he is referring to thread titles like thisThings I thought about today's game having just watched it on telly[/i
Only a bit of fun. Unlike your long posts.*
*again, a joke.

I wasn't a Cullen fan at all but we did have the most entertaining brand of Rugby under him. Our Defensive frailties and Freedom to attack and offload at every opportunity made nearly every game extremely exciting to watch.
Smith is twice the coach that Cullen was but at the same time not one of the games he has coached us in has got me excited in the same games under Cullen did. Smith is obviously laying the defensive foundations before he lets us open up attacking wise whereas Cullen’s philosophy was attack, attack, attack.
But hey if we win something under Smith you won’t hear me complain once……..
