| I wouldn’t be against getting Dudson back at Wigan tbh. He was a young, overweight liability when he was with us years ago but he’s really impressed me these past few seasons. He’s got himself in good shape and is a good superleague player nowadays. The only worry would be his age. I think his absolute peak was probably his last season or two at Salford and his first at Catalans.

I'd take max king. Really don't want us to sign dudson. And let us not forget, we should have Harrison raring to go next season.

To be fair, We (Wigan) usually get it right in terms of which players to move on but we have a very patchy record when it comes to props. Dudson and Mossop to be fair improved out of sight when they left. Dudson would be a solid if unspectacular signing. I said it at the beginning of the season that if Bullock was Hill's replacement you would be very underwhelmed. Good for 5 mins or so then powderpuff for the rest of the match. It's quite amusing that we always manage to offload our scraps to Warrington. It's obviously not so funny if you are a Warrington fan. I see Jack Hughes is injured. Willie Isa is off contract if you need a new second rower. Im afraid Tony Clubb has retired though but not even Fitzpatrick would fall for that one

| Yeah with Dudson i don't think we'd need him, but Kasiano on a 1 year deal for impact off the bench i'd be happy with. Max King has re-signed with canterbury so won't be him. Paul Vaughn would be a big gamble, i know powell can turn a bad lad around but i'd rather leave him be. And my god i ALWAYS forget we've signed Harrison, not expecting anything massive from him but will be nice to get him in the mix and see how he develops

| Decent performance today from Mulhern, maybe we stick with him and see how Harrison goes it might not look so bad up front although I would like us to spend in that position

| It’s not an issue with individuals more of a squad balance issue. All props have their merits but just collectively a bit lightweight. Too often players were knocked by 5 yards from contact which shouldn’t happen. Think our Greek has made a positive difference.

Yes our Billy is starting to show some encouraging early signs of being an effective part of the pack although I'd like to know what's the script with Holmes?
Quite liked the thought of our signing him and I know he might be/have been injured but I was expecting a bit more from him TBH

I don’t think he’s match fit, injuries, suspension on top of no preseason. He’s better than than. Still, disappointing even with excuses.

Robbie was good, though I liked him last year, if he could run it in a bit faster it would make all the difference to his game.
Coops was coops bullock was ok, though he runs very upright which looks like he gets smashed.
Philbin was ropey again for me, he looked like he was getting consoled by a couple other players at the end of the game.

| More like a master system.
Philbin is struggling. Mulhern is good in terms of work rate and longevity but he doesn’t make great metres. He’s good to have around but need bigger carriers to support him. As much as I’m not a big fan of 15 min props we almost miss an effective version of that.

The master system was great for its time, I would say more like a Sega saturn. That was a dissapontment.

| That opening 25 minutes from Cooper was fantastic, best prop on the field by a distance. Thewlis has put out 2 great performances on the trot, if he can work on his link play he could be excellent.
Mata’utia was good, Dean also. Left edge looks very strong and how quick was Wrench to get in for his try?!?
On the other side, Hudds were shocking, lost count of how often they dropped the ball in our 10m. Hill aside they struggled to make ground and Lolohea off the back of that couldn’t get in to the game.
Philbs was worrying, he struggled to keep hold of the ball at times and looked very frustrated. The rest hopefully can take confidence in to the Wigan game, will need to step up another level. Thewlis & Dean to keep their spot, might mean that Wrench misses out, but Dean deserves another shot, Mata’utia doesn’t deserve to be left out and Williams didn’t do anything wrong pre injury.
EDIT: just to add, thought Dean / Thewlis complimented eachother really well

| EDIT
They have been playing together for many years now and know each other`s game inside out.
The last try by Thewlis, was a Warrington Academy move between them, that they have now brought to the Super League stage.
