Indeed but he did punch her by his own admission, so the poster was correct. He had taken "angry pills".
“The defendant accepts that he punched her but maintains that he did so in self-defence, fearing that he was about to get run over or injured as Ms Mackey reversed the car.”

| In other news wasn't the erudite Barrie McDermott 'famously' reckoned to be the first person in the country arrested by the police involving CS gas? A story recounted in the Wigan Episode of the funny R4 series Mark Thomas in Town (well worth a listen as is Stockport)

Just putting the "spitting" into perspective. We have recruited and retained players with far worse track records.'"
I agree and to be fair if we were in a better position squad wise, then I would jump in signing him I was initially going to say he could be the next Joel Monaghan signing for us.

| I don’t care if we sign Sheila Ferguson, so long as she can play prop.

He looks a big strong beggar. So, as wingers are used so much to barge the ball up now, he could be very useful. Also ... if they alter the laws & somersaults get you an extra point after a try we'd be quids in.

| Clip reel is a bit underwhelming - just seems a strong bulky unit - not dissimilar to Lineham, so not really sure if that's what we want/need ?

If we sign a 32 year old Aussie winger currently playing bush rugby when we can clearly see what the team is crying out for I will cancel my season ticket next year for the first time in 40 years. Why don't we see if Inglis fancies another go while we're at it.

| He looks a good player to be fair but he definitely isn't what we need right now.
We need a big mobile prop (or 2).

What if we already have a couple of props lined up for next year, we just can't get them here sooner?
I write this in hope rather than expectation you understand!

| I have learned to be wary of these highlights reels. Inglis, for example, is a thoroughbred in his highlights reel, but what we got was more like something destined for the knacker's yard, unfortunately.

I agree. Probably more useful to watch their last six games but it is still better than nothing. You have to look at when the best action bits happened. Still it shows that he was/is capable and you can see what sort of player he is.
I remember seeing Tyrone Roberts' highlights (sorry) ... I sent my nephew a text saying something like this boy will change the way we play.

He did, just not in a good way.
As alffi alluded to, whilst our priority is a couple of (or at least 1) props who actually make an impact, they may not be available right now mid season. Ferguson won't be available for too long I don't expect and regardless of the priority forward(s) we still need to build a squad for next season. That said I don't think he's needed by us really and if we have cash spare right now we should definitely be using it on a forward IMO.
In Powell we trust.

Ok, it would make it more palatable but still seems nonsensical to presumably offload Charnley, a proven SL try scorer to take a risk on an older player who may not settle in. Looking forward to those props being revealed

| There's interest and there's interest.
Ferguson's agent to KP: "Blake is available to play in SL, are Warrington interested?"
KP: "We're always interested inplayers with a proven track record. By the way, who is he and can he play prop?"
Agent to press: "Blake is ready for a move to SL with Warrington already having expressed interest."
