| Too much panic rugby (imo).
Yes, we like to play an expansive game, but there's a time and place, and a CC semi is not the place.
80 mins hard graft is what's needed. We looked good for the opening 10-15 mins, then we dropped off.
Bridge's kick was unfortunate. Had the ball gone 5 metres further, there'd be people liking him to Andrew Johns. Alas, it didn't, and Hull went 70m, and immediately, our guard was down. We made Whiting look like a world beater at times, and for 50odd minutes our treatment of possession was, quite frankly, a joke. WE DON'T NEED TO PERFORM A MINOR MIRACLE, EVERY SET OF SIX.
On average, when it's a reasonably level game, each side will have the ball 30odd times in a game......WE MADE 18, YES, 18 ERRORS. UNACCEPTABLE. We need to reign in the "devil-may-care" attitude to our play, and concentrate on doing what we need to do......win the game we are playing.
Silverwood had a decent game, no complaints from me. He got the big calls correct.
One thing baffled me slightly. Currie had a blinder last week, yet we leave it an hour before he makes an appearance.....strange. We have an outstanding talent in this lad (and an interchange left very late in the day), why leave it so late.
Anyway, well done Hull, the better side won.
Come on Wire, we've a League Leaders Shield and a Grand Final to play for.
BELIEVE.
I'm getting all Beatlesish since we got beat. Maybe a little Transcendental Meditation is in order. All together now.....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

| Totally gutted
Did Joel have the chance to draw level at the end? Looked like he was very near the try line if he catches and goes to ground.

The kick was too deep, the ball was over the touch line so all he could do was jump and pat it back.

| Im just gutted that i hate both teams in the final, even Saints i could stretch to minutely.
I'll give it's complete miss.
You know Wigan have 'the move' and we can play it all day long, when playing us you have to sacrifice 2 tackles and kick early.

NEVER EVER.
Don't even think that whilst you dry your eyes, We could never support the pies.

A one off incident. As opposed to the annual outbreak of torrential spit which comes with a visit to Headingley. You keep on thinking in the past, most know the present

| Gutted, however the best team won on the day. Coming home we were saying that if we had pinched it at the end it would have been an injustice, as we didn't deserve it. Our ball control today was as bad as I have seen it over the last few years, absolutely terrible.
This is the premier trophy on offer in the game , as far as I am concerned. Feel totally deflated, couldn't care less about the Mickey Mouse Trophy at Old Trafford.
Hope we win the League leaders trophy though, as this is the true measure of the best team.

| Way too many knock-ons. Not watched the game back on TV yet, but from memory at the game very few seemed to come from trying the 'miracle ball' or a big hit from the defence, we simply couldn't keep hold of the ball. I have seen us play worse than that a few times in recent years, but that was by far the worst I have seen us play in a big game in a long time.

45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| Although I thought Warrington would win, I've got to say that this was coming. Wire have put in some pretty poor performances recently which has been ignored by the fact that they still won matches (Wigan, Leeds etc) and are occupying a healthy position in SL. Unfortunately this time there was no get out of jail for the Wolves.
Can't stand Hull but will be supporting them in the final against the Goons.

| be interesting to see the error count from both teams as both teams were guilty of dropped ball.
One of the Hull FC live commentators caught one of the penalty kicks to touch and mentioned that the ball was "greasy" - all the players complain about it

| Quote: Robbo "As the game went on I still expected wire to nick it to be honest. Couple of brain farts from Chris Bridge and a few missed oppurunitys cost wire. I think when Higham knocked on just short of the line was the turning point. Hull deserved the win though, Holdsworth played brilliantly whilst I thought Briers seemed a bit quiet.'"
For me the turning point was when Riley knocked on in the corner while trying to plonk the ball down. Even with seconds to go I still thought that the wire would pinch it, but this time it was not to be.

| Well done to Hull ,i thought the scoreline reflected the difference in the 2 sides & Good Luck at Wembley.
I am sure if Bridge's kick had come off he would have been the best centre in the world for his skill & vision & it didn't help our cause with 2 touchline conversions for Ratch to have a go at.

True, Hull also seemed to spill the ball a lot.
Although Warrington scored points early they could not convert those early try's and mentally I think that helped Hull to believe that they where still very much in the game.
The Hull defence was simply awesome though.
