Most of the lads involved support Liverpool or United.
Given that we share the same team colours as those clubs you'd expect some similarity.

Fair do's but the words are similar. I myself attend every game I can between Warrington for Liverpool home and away so I see the Utd flags just thought they looked very similar.

One or two but most are unique references to Wigan i.e. Northern Soul, Verve song titles, even George Formby. I actually think that it's Liverpool we've copied the most, particularly with the slogans and links to past glories.

Speaking of copying Liverpool, we're taking things to the next level and ordering those massive Kop-style flags on poles.

£250 raised prematch by the fans in the pub prior to the Widnes Away cup game paid for the "Formby Flag"

£200 raised at Crusaders away (In the pub next to the ground can't remember the name) is paying for a New flag (Design under wraps ).

There are about a dozen or so that have been paid for by individual fan/fans who designed/ordered their own, the other 10-15 have been paid for by the fans who meet regularly (Once a month or so In various pubs Town centre) and put their own cash in or have Flag Fund raising ideas.
We recently Auctioned 2 x Signed Players shirts to pay for another flag and this money will be allocated to a new flag, design will be agrred at the next meeting (At the Pub).

We had 4 or 5 donated at the first flag meeting we had in December 2009 & we currently have 25 with a further 2/3 in progress.

Each flag can cost between £120 & upto £220 for the more intricate desin=gns I.E Farrell flag.
We reckon there's about £3.5k worth so far.

As you will see from the above, quite a lot of activity takes place "At the Pub".
It's been a quite enjoyable Project!

Those Wigan efforts are top draw, IMO. OK maybe a few ideas pinched but even so, that's inevitable.
