| Quote: Warrington Wolf "I just thought we were a little lethargic today lacking impetus to win the game. At 18-12 I like others thought we would go on to win the game but on the back of their next try we looked shocked and couldn't find the simple answer in how to regain a stronghold on the game. I'm glad we only have to wait until Monday to hopefully right the wrongs. Hopefully it was just one of those days and we can get back to playing what were capable of. I wonder if this defeat changes the team selection for Monday. I for one would like to see Brett back at full back with Ratch replacing Gareth O'Brien, Bridge returning for Evans & M Monnas back.'"
So O'Briens the scapegoat now, been Myler for years, there's a few on that pitch that could of been the scapegoat today, Hodgsons not been playing well & as for Atkins

| I would class myself as a fairly intelligent fellow who has breathed on a Guardian and occasionallywatched bbc4. However I would like to express my dismay at the pilloring of the young fans who dared throw a plastic bottle in the direction of a half d Warrington side in our one true Derby. I don't condone it in the slightest but the pious hypocrisy from our fans today was pitiful to watch..yes you Tony T. Passion misguided or not was woefully missing from both players and fans today..for shame. Im sure the bigger picture of losing to a lesser side in six months is responsible...had Widnes been any good I wouldn't be d, but they weren't

I would seriously look at Briers and if he's out or the season then deregister him and get another player in. I know it was O'Briens first game but he was way below his standard he set last year.'"

Judging by the way your fans were cheering your trys and moaning every call that went against them, I don't think it was just a pre season friendly for Wire.

According to Smith, it was the ' Gareth Hock show' today .
I really rate Hock, but was he as good as your coaches comments on the BBC website ?

Well said. We don't need that in Rugby League, and we certainly don't need that at Widnes. Most Widnes fans would have him in the stocks.

| Quote: Paul2812 "If winning the Challenge Cup & the Valvoline Cup, finishing 2nd in the league & getting to the Grand Final is our year... then yes please.
Its either that or the wooden spoon last year. Tricky which one to pick.
Well played today, and enjoy your big win against one of the big boys. You' won't have much more to celebrate this season... like most of your years.'"
I would take your grapes back to ASDA and tell them that they are very sour.
Most Warrington fans saw the better team win.
Just remember that your trophy cabinet saw more dusters than trophies for 40 years.

| Widnes are in there 2nd year in Superleague and are improving slowly.Might be our cup final, but I do not care as long as see effort and performances. We all go games to be entertained and Widnes home performances have been decent.Hopefully a few more better away performances and scrap for the 8th place be nice.

| Aaaaahahahahahahaha!
Lol at the disgruntled ones!
Hock caused havoc up your right hand edge and did a job on Sloth. When Sloth was getting riled I could see Hock just grinning at him and giving him a bit more treatment.
Early days for us and it's building for the future that counts at present with the odd very sweet victory!

| Quote: WireFanatic III "Nothing really much to say. Widnes won their Cup/Grand Final, and with ease. We were out-enthused at every play, exploited on the flanks and the amount of dropped ball we did was unreal.
Still, onwards and upwards for the home game against the Broncos.
Any other league game, and I wouldn't be bothered. I am a slight bit bothered about this defeat, moreso because we conceded 38 points and we got beat by a side that contained Phil Joseph, Patrick Ah Van and Ben Cross.'" Actually Ben Cross, who has played a higher standard of rugby than many of the players on display for both teams yesterday, didn't play.I don't know how people can comment if they didn't actually watch the game.

Contradictory-tastic.
So you don't condone the thowing of bottles at our team, yet you complain about the pilloring of the people who threw the bottle.
Either you don't condone the bottle throwing or you do. You can't just say "i don't condone it" yet go "well, don't have a go at the guy for throwing it, not his fault Warrington didn't perform".
Jesus, some people on here really have a knack of p*****g me off......
