Weren't you fetching some stats to show the best winger in SL. Can't do any worse, throw him in ...

Erm yeah, he can do worse as we with our gash attack walked 24 points over, under & through him.

Neither side has sold out their allocation of tickets. As at Wednesday evening, Saints had 200 left (having received an extra allocation), which is pretty good for a club that seems intent on not marketing itself at all whatsoever in any shape or form. I'm working temporarily in Warrington at the moment and there are bits about the Wolves all over the place, even on the doors to my floor at the council offices. Wigan put posters up around town and have pubs advertising their games. Walk around St Helens and there isn't a damn thing about the club anywhere. In fact, there's more Liverpool, Everton and Man Utd stuff on show than Saints. But that is the fault of the Saints club and personally I think it is their total lack of marketing this season which has seen our attendances at Widnes so low. If the club can't be bothered drumming up enthusiasm for their own players, how can the town be expected to feel enthusiasm for them? All those Challenge Cup finals and Grand Finals and not a poster ever found its way on to a billboard in St Helens.

Sure, we have some bone idle fans who prefer to dress up in their outdated Saints shirts and watch the game in the pub. They infuriate me. But mostly the responsibility for poor crowds is down to the club who, apart from updating their website and posting on Twitter/Facebook do sod all to drum up any enthusiasm for the team around the town. Oh, sorry, they put five players on five buses, thanks to their sponsors.

Personally I think if Warrington had to play out of Widnes for a season there would be very little difference in attendances because Warrington know how to market their product and put effort into doing so. Saints don't. So they get the turnout they deserve.

But we still did quite well when compared to Wigan who, in spite of boasting the biggest crowds in Superleague, still didn't manage to sell out their allocation.

Listen i'm not saying your a bad team anyone would be stupid to say so but your points difference is so big through going all out against bad teams

Games played so far

Points against the bottom 4= 322
Next 4 up=172
Leeds and Catalan=52
Top 3=15

Nice little trend isn't it and if you want to add cup games in the top 3 would be -5

Wow yed really? You was in on this convo in the attack thread

If no one read it the thing i said is it's a marathon not a sprint and we are just doing enough untill big game then going all out, You lot are going all out week in week out when it doesn't need to be done your going to make life hard at the end of the season with not much in the tank

Them stats just back up what i said and it's shown against Saints,Hudd and us like it or not i'm right

The thing is when we blow teams away we actually spend most of the time attacking so we save more energy than if we were defending.

Best attack, best points difference. Given every team in the league a dicking this year apart from Hull and Catalans and we have the best defence(along with Wigan). Not even a discussion, Usain Bolt does 100 metres in about 9 and a half seconds and I'd do it in about 15 seconds, that's because he is faster i.e Our attack is better. Case closed.

I always say I don't care if the game sells out as long as I have my ticket, which I have. If people don't want to come out and support the greatest game on earth well that is their fault isn't it? In my opinion the game tomorrow will have 5 times the amount of entertainment as the manchester derby at wembley on sunday.

And on the blowing teams away it means nothing really as you still only get 2 points for the result. Wigan have seemed to employ tactics this year of conserving energy during games and just doing enough to win games. We have only really risen for saints away, hudds away and you lot in the cup the other week. It's a risky ploy no doubt but if it works and we win the double I don't think you will hear wiganers moaning that we took the foot off the gas against quins at home etc...
