Have look at any posts I have made regarding fans bad behaviour. I never condone it no matter which club is concerned.
I have done my bit to help get rid of a few idiot Wigan fans. Now if we all did this at our relative clubs then the game as a whole would be much better for it. |

That kind of behaviour does not constitute banter and you know it. It's pathetic individuals acting like morons.
In a way, what happened yesterday can be classed as banter and part maybe couldn't. Either way whatever was said, Clarke should have just ignored it, took whatever he got in good grace, give a smile and walk off. But no, you saw him chunnering, pointing into the crowd etc.
He's not a popular person at the moment. He gets paid to have opinions and sometimes people will not agree with those opinions. |

Clarke should have just laughed the way Ganson did who received a few boo's from the South stand when he walked past....
I know people can go on about a few idiot fans but the way Clarke reacted was a little childish IMO... |

Since when has it been 'banter' to personally abuse someone? And then, having done so, you get all high and mighty about getting a reaction - the very thing that you were after in the first place? Banter is supposed to be good-humoured not abusive. |

it was all a pantomime.
He took the bait and so should get abuse for it. He should know better. He is paid to be there and to remain a pro. Whoever shouted abuse or jibes at him, as long as they weren't threatening to physical assault him or were insulting his family, were there to enjoy themselves. If he doesn't like that aspect of the job, he should quit. Personally, I wish he would. I find him arrogant and annoying and the worst member of staff at Sky Sports Rugby League.
However, my feelings aside HE, not the fans (who probably have reason to shout abuse at him) is in the wrong.

I don't think it was a 'who are ya' chant that got the desired reaction? I think it's a sad sign of the times and reflects badly on our supporters that abusing someone is classed as having fun. The beach balls is fun. Singing and cheering is fun. Abuse is abuse, no matter how you wrap it up. |
