But as Gateaux said, building work is now due to start about December time this year. We're apparently still aiming for 2011 but whether that will happen is anyone's guess!

Having spoken to the club about exactly this I have been told that we are totally in the hands of the B.B.C. as to when cup fixtures are played.

This is because we are considered a minority sport to be fitted in somewhere between shove ha'penny finals and tiddlywinks championships.

It's a similar situation to that we have to endure with Sky as regard to league fixtures being changed at the whim of sports producers.

Could you see the R.F.U. allowing this situation to arise. I don't think so.

Well, most of what remained of the previous business on our site was recently demolished and some work has already been completed on a footpath which will be part of the approach. Does that put us in line with Salford's ground or ahead of it? No idea about the cathedral ....
