The conspiracy theory that worries me the most is the one which is almost self evident, 'Bad Education'.

It's easier to corrupt the weak and badly educated, it's easier to push policies through to people who don't understand or care.

It worries me.

If not powerful Jews it will be to do with the volume of Jewish voters in the USA, which ties US foreign policy closely to Israel.

Put it this way, if Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, started carrying out the human rights abuses which Israel routinely does, then the US or UK would have been in to effect "regime change". They even did it with Milosevic. They wouldn't do it in Israel though because the high proportion of the Jewish population would cry anti semitism and it would be electoral suicide.

I'm sure Wires71 will have noticed however, that soon the Islamic countries will get carte blanche to do what they want, for the same reason, because in a few years 95% of the UK electorate will be Muslim!

As for the 9/11 theories, my response is always pretty clear, I simply don't see how it's possible that Bush and Co had a hand in the attacks, there is simply no way that after 9 years we would not have heard from a 'leak', to pull off such an attack and to keep the public relatively oblivious would need the co-operation of thousands of people, members of Congress, White House Staff, the Military and even the Media. And that I believe is just unattainable without encountering a person who would wimp out or tell all to the press.

However I do believe the fact that there were warnings and that is the limit of the Bush Administration's knowledge on the matter.

A horrific tragedy and conspiracy theories on such matters of people's death such as Diana and the World Wars are to me at times lacking sensitivity and respect to the deceased.

It's very similar to the activists that died on the blockade running ships. They attacked the Israeli commandos that were trying to search their ships.

There's a difference between the conspiracy theorists who like to claim every world event as evidence of their masterplan theory, and cases where there is suspicion of foul play like Diana's death....remember Dodi Al Fayed also died there, and his father has been challenging that for years. He's not doing that out of disrespect to the deceased or claiming it was part of an evil world masterplan, he reckons his son has been denied justice.

The David Kelly 'suicide' is another one where I think there is more than meets the eye, the more evidence that starts leaking out over that one, the more it sounds like he was murdered.

And there is Alexander Litvinenko who was investigating the murder of a journalist and got poisoned with radioactive coffee, that had the hands of the Russian security services all over it.

Probably fair to call that an out-and-out conspiracy rather than a theory, as we know that he was irradiated in a sushi bar.

All very well but none of that defeats the logic of my post. If the said Eritrean was granted asylum on the grounds of percecution (despite travelling across a number of safe havens where she should claim asylum first in most likelihood) then that will cause a drain on resources we would not have had previously.

I never maintained that the UK cannot benefit from immigration in some cases.

whilst there hasnt been any evidence to back up your claim of the IDF commando's being attacked first, what is known is that the commando's went over the top. So far over that it not only outraged the UN but also dare i say it the british govt aswell. Imagine if you lived in the west bank, these people are denied access to basic medicines, clothing, schools, etc etc by a govt that is intent on crushing a populace who just want somewhere to call home. Now before i get called anti semitic or anything else i have no problem with israel just the israeli govt.
