I went to the CC Finals in '05, '06, '07 and I'm going in '09 and I've enjoyed it every time I've been! I only missed out in '08 as I was doing Best Man duties. It's a fantastic weekend out, mingling with other RL fans, it's a great craic!



See above. Been to all the GF's since 2005 and thoroughly enjoyed all of them, desipte the lack of Wire appearances.

Whenever Warrington do go to a CCF or a GF, it will be a fantastic added bonus to what will be a hugely enjoyable day/weekend.

There were about 15000-17000 last time and about 25000-30000 Pies but all you could hear 10 mins before the final whistle and half an hour after was Wire fans,(taped it and watched it when home and remember Ray French saying "Just listen to those Wigan fans singing, and it was us. The man can`t see the obvious when he`s staring at it) in fact a lot of Pies didn`t even stay to watch their own team lift the cup.

People still euolgise about the 1990 final and old timers go into rhapsodies about 1974, when over 40,000 travelled down to support the Wire.

been to watch utd recently at the new wembley which offers the supporter a much better and more comfortable view,went to the 1990 final at the old stadium,great day,bad result.

Previously we have struggled to get 10k at Wilderspool, whereas for the first game at the HJ there were 13k+ Wire fans.

Teams have really boosted their junior supporters numbers, and I think this, coupled with the number of people who would come out of the woodwork would lead to a huge amount of fans attending.

Although i enjoyed 1990, i enjoyed the train in 1998 on the way home with all the Pies after they lost to Sheffield. We must have been so annoying in our yellow comedy wigs and we hate wigan wrote on foreheads

Went to Wembley in 1974 for the win against Featherstone and again in 1975 when we lost to Widnes. Don't remember much about the second one as the Stella was very tasty at the Conservative club in Wembley before and after the match.
'74 was a brilliant weekend, obviuously.

on a personal note i have no recolection of stella being on draught pre all day sunday drinking which was when sad people like me used to go to the conservative club on a sunday when normal pubs closed at 3 oclock in the afternoon and did not reopen 'till 7pm! twas greenhalls as Eddie stated, grunhalle lager and copperhead cider bleughh!

Will the club issue final tickets to season ticket holders first. How many season ticket holders have we got at the club as it won't leave much with only an allocation of 15k?

but yes season ticket holders, imo about 6,000 will get first refusal c/o voucher in season ticket

leaving 9,000 for general allocation few days later
