| Quote: Barbed Wire "Awful injury for a young lad with pace. Hopefully he comes back fit and ready, at his age there is no point in rushing it. I was hoping he could have really kicked on with a full pre season to challenge for a starting centre shirt, but as above maybe he could use the time to develop core and upper body strength.
Wing dilemma deepens for next year though, only Ashton and Thewlis recognised wingers, Minikin if he sticks around. And with only Matautia signed up for next year, assuming King is gone without chance of return and the lingering Wigan rumour for Wardle, we may find ourselves lightweight in the backs.'"
Can’t see Hudds keeping King given their signings. He’ll be back with us….sadly.

Your mate will have to arrange a loan deal for King then, because there is no way that Powell wants him back at Warrington.

I also wanted to see this, shame how it's gone for Wrench who's a centre, who's only found game time on the wing, same as Thewlis is a fullback and been dropped from fullback, or moved to the wing (now little chance of playing in his natural position due to the arrival of Dufty). Our planning for the future isn't all it could be.

For once I think all our fans will agree with Powell on this one.

You need to pray that Wakey stay up. I don't see any other side taking him and they are in desperate need of a centre. A season long loan there would be very feasible.

| Josh Lynch is our Academy wing, who has bags of pace and is a very tough hombre.

If your team beats Toulouse tomorrow, and Wakefield win at Hull, then Wakey are very likely to stay in Super League for 2023.

| Didn't Wakey try to sign him before his new deal? Or was it just a rumour? I think they need 2 centres actually.

| I think it was Hull KR who made a big bid for King before Warrington extended his contract last year.

| People will laugh at this, but King has Wigan written all over him. Good defender, particularly excellent from marker. Effective meter maker and is quick in a straight line.
Think Thornley, Carmont, Sarginson.
The only thing is, they were on peanuts, King is on mega bucks

| There is a good player in there somewhere. It's not something I would want though. If he was coaxed into his pre contract form he would be a good addition but it's not a gamble I would want us to take. Wardle and another for me. This crazy centre roundabout we are both going through though, both players could end up as starting centres at either club next season. It will be interesting when the season is finished and we find out who is going where. We always seem to be the last team to announce our transfers

| If he does come back, i think he'll be in a much better frame of mind and will be working in a MUCH better pack and alround squad next year. He's playing well for Huddersfield and may bring that back with him. I would like Wardle to stay as my first choice but an in form King i wouldn't complain about at all.

I agree, but I feel he has probably burnt his bridges with Powell. He would potentially have a lot of making up to do with his teammates, the club and fans too if the rumours are true.
I would love to see Wardle stay as well.

| Yeah true, will be interesting to see what happens with it all.
The injury to wrench may have just given Minikin a new 1 deal as we will need the cover.
