Hopefully if there is an opportunity to sign him for the back-end of this season, we will see him playing for Wire in that position in 2019.

Why haven't we put to bed the moving Ratchford from FB debate?

Last season, Ratchford played exclusively at full-back.

He picked up the Harry Sunderland and Albert Goldthorpe medals, as well as a couple of more local awards such as players' player, Warrington Guardian player etc.

He's also 30, so not a youngster that can/should be played out of position to give them much needed game time.

There aren't many better FB's than him right now.

Seems that it's a no brainier we keep him at FB, and the guy that has won the NRL and World Club challenge as a 6, should play 6.

Quite right, he is the FB and as Alffi suggested is better suited to that role because of the time and space it grants him to work his magic.
Widdop will need to spend time getting familiar with the team and our plays, so plenty of time for him to slot back into the halves as well.

Oh my dear god, you play him in the halves and keep Ratch at FB. Two devastating players in the positions from where they have devastated opposition.

Actually no, lets farm him out to Rochdale as a ball playing prop.
