| Quote St Helens Wolf="St Helens Wolf"I have no inside information but it sounds to me as though both Westwood and BMM are nursing the type of injuries that may require surgery during the off season and it's now a case of just trying to squeeze the odd game from them. No doubt they are not alone and there will be the usually post season queue outside the surgeons door come end of October.
Assuming that the 19 named for Huddersfield are all able to play then I would like to see Hughes keep his place at the back with Pomeroy and Thompson in the second row. Atkins on the bench with Livett and Smith to miss out. It's a close run thing between who misses out between Pomeroy, Thompson and Livett so I think that it will all come down to fitness.'"
They have injuries at a period that don't require us to make a risk on.
They'll both be back in when matters.

| Were not quite over the line, so I would expect Huddersfield to give their all as it's a last chance saloon.

| I would play Lovett over Pomeroy, he’s the future of the Club. Ryan Atkins should also come in on the bench, he needs some game time.

Perhaps but Livett was the most disappointing at Wembley.
There's one of three possibilities why SP has left him out vs Hull.
1 dropped over form at Wembley
2 injured
3 concealing the extent of his fitness that kept a fit Pomeroy out and hampering effectiveness to Win the CC.
Just saying.

It's a toss up for me as I agree with Teesside that all things being equal Livett plays he's the future. If Livett is carryiong a knock Pomeroy is a decent stand in and was (over) enthusiastic v Hull FC, went in early and high on a couple of occasions

| Livett had a shocker at Wembley and had not been playing well for a while. Pomeroy is more dependable. Maybe give Livett a game after the Hudds game assuming we have made the 4 and see if he has improved any.

Huh?...he was playing well, then he got an injury and was missing following the semi final up to Wembley, was he not?

Well it's all opinions but earlier in the season (April/May) he was stand-out - the hat-trick game at Leeds in particular. He even did press interviews playing down links to the NRL. Then he got the injury at the Wakefield game in June, not returning until July and hasn't been the same since. Then he had the further injury you refer to, returning for the final. At Wembley he was very poor defensively and I have him responsible for 1 if not 2 tries.

Fare points.
Well we won't know about why he was missing, made the final then was missing again. Perhaps best we don't. No 3 is unforgivable.
....but for sure, if I was SP resting players before our biggest game in years, Livett wouldn't have been top of my list.

| Tbh I said it on here....I'm relation to BMM but also inclusive of any player.
If a player isn't 100% at Wembley...he WILL get found out on that pitch. That is why I put that reason no3 in my previous posting.

nah its done.
we have had a good run, basically had to win every game for past 14 games and won 12 i think..been a good run so cant complain but our season is done, expect wire to win by at least 14
but it will be interesting to see how we respond to last defeat, not had many under woolford
