| Throw a stone, but don't cry baby when it's threw back.
I change my mind and read your post. It's full of slagging off and accusations of hearsay. Not at all a model fan.

| I don't need to think about that because you are utterly wrong. I can see its a waste of 30 seconds of my time responding to your posts. Why not join your 50% estimate?

| ...and I'm certainly not going to get in to a debate with the mad muppet about the size of our genitals.
If he thinks he is a better fan than I or anyone else then that's fine.

| I was going to post something, but when I hit submit a s**t load of messages come up with the usual dick measuring contest between "a forum poster" and rubber duckie, so I'm not going to bother.
Absolutely sick to death of the way this forum has descended into nothing but s**t stirring, cock measuring and gutter sniping.

| But those were days in a different era. We have people paying hard earned cash to watch mediocrity & i'm not just talking about or criticising Warrington unduly. We have had 20 years of sky & superleague & there is more inconsistency than ever being dished up & more carp games with diluted player quality with every year that passes & that is throughout rugby league. We are asked to pay to witness a professional sport when it isn't always served up to a professional standard. There is a shortage of players coming into the game & this is a problem for the RFL to sort out before it is too late....no good spending money bringing players through to their 19 th birthdays then saying they are not good enough to play at open age /SL level ,which is a policy that has hindered Warrington's displays this season.

| Very true madmuppet following our CC success's and GF appearances we tend to overlook how average we were pre Tony Smith, before he took over the first team had some good players playing at a average level, he not only got them to their potential but raised other players levels too.
Like you I prefer not to judge at the moment solely down to a horrendous injury list, all long term and and particularly bad injuries, we have missed Grix immensely, plus Smith does appear to be getting to grips with the teams weaknesses ready for next season, this seems to be the moot point is he twelve months or more behind? and it could be seen as though he has had his finger off the pulse at times, if so then people will ask questions and are entitled to their opinions.
A big season for Tony Smith next year and I do believe he will succeed.

| I think anyone wanting rid of TS wants a head wobble personally. If you are someone who does, who on earth do you think is sat waiting in the wings? He's the best by a distance in this country IMO, and any decent ones in Aus will be in contract.
That doesn't mean he escapes criticism though. I do blame him for not finding a halfback sooner, for not replacing Morley and Carvell, and I also question his backroom appointments in Richard Agar and Michael Turner based on our performances on the field, and the fact that we look knackered in games so quickly.
If we are no further along next year, I think it may be time to start asking questions, but at the moment, TS is still in favour for me.

| I have read many threads on here expecting us to finish as some sort of grand finalists and CC winners - That is exactly what we should be aiming for and nothing less, that's what big clubs do.
You need to remember that we lost big name players and didnt get chance to replace them. Briers for example was too late in the day to replace - The club knew Briers was done mid way through his last season he had been to four specialists hoping for good news. The club stopped him going to the States for a fifth as it was futile.
Yes its been tough watching the team we love looking demoralized and struggling - The team that beat Leeds twice and Wigan at home was basically the same team that couldn't get up for a Semi against HKR.
Yes maybe Tony Smith doesn't show his emotions like you want him to and maybe yes some of the players are deadwood - TS is a bit dull on TV and maybe its not natural. TS is responsible for the deadwood, its his job to deal with it
But you know what, I am a Warrington wolves fan and have been for a long time. I've seen us almost relegated and see us win the challenge cup final. Do i go to every game - no i don't because i can't feasibly do it. Am I going to start slagging the club i love off because we have had a bad season? No i wont do it. Maybe it is time some of you looked at yourselves and started to remember pre Tony Smith we were awful. We had a shocking culture, one of which saw Briers throwing up on the pitch following too much ale and never making the top six - Healthy debate with a cross section of views never did anyone any harm, until you make it personal.
He has turned the team in a great team and if we are complaining that we are not in the Grand Final or the CC cup final then you really need to review your priorities - he turned a team into a great one, but has since struggled with the complexities of taking a new side to the top.
This team is a transition. We are struggling but you think the players want to hear that we don't like watching it - Perhaps they need to know that the people contributing to paying their wages do have an issue with the way its going at present.
If my boss kept saying how bad i was it would start to sink in and i would end up worse. Get behind them instead of criticizing - Getting behind them is fine, the fans that are at the HJ and away games are doing that but the same dross is churned out. Is that because they are not capable any more or that they cant be bothered or something else?
I'm pretty sure none of you are sat in the training sessions or in the dressing room listening to what is said behind closed doors - That's where the boss gets his positivity and negativity over to the team. The team then take on board the issues and deal with them firstly by putting on a professional and hopefully winning performance.
Personally I think TS needs more time with the next draft, but we need to see more commitment and professionalism from the team so that we can achieve the accolade of SL Champions.

| He doesn't.
He said "but you know what, I am a Warrington wolves fan"
So while unprovoked in ripping into me, during the same post, I find it as measure of him being a fan and him implying I am not.
What I know for sure is I am a fan, and have been a Warrington wolves fan exactly as long as he thinks I haven't, but like the foul mouth posting of wf111 I also said I'm not getting into a genital measuring contest.

He is running out of time. Not replacing Briers, Carvell and Morley was criminal. Granted, this season has been pretty crap, but if we don't start next season strong, then I believe he will go before his contract is up. He needs to find his best HB partnership and stick with it, rather than doing a Ranieri and changing it every game.
And if Smith leaves, whether that leaves us with Agar is another story. He was doing commentary on 5 Live Sports Extra for Salford v Leigh when I was driving back from Scotland and came across very well. Apparently he has done coaching courses and training courses at University.
