| Smith's time has run its course in my view. Performances are frequently poor - it's one thing to lose, it's another entirely to lose without showing any discernible appetite for the contest.
Succession planning for the playing squad has also been less than satisfactory, to put it mildly.
The players are making similarly cretinous mistakes week after week.
The blame for all of these things must largely lie with our Head of Rugby or whatever his inane title is.

No argument from me, he is going! Widnes I believe.
But it still remains the same however poor he and Ratchford played, until they leave the club or we short term buy another player, they are still the best players we have with ball in hand.
That doesn't mean to say that is a good thing, it's just the best we have. Period

| I'd get rid of Atkins, honestly think he's given us what he can now, he's constantly seemingly fighting the tide. Asotasi can go too, he tries but he's not made any headway at all. Apart from that I still think the effort is there from everyone, we are just completely stuck in the mud and sinking the more we try to pull ourselves free. I think this season is a write off, start again next year.

However brief this conclusion is, it's just about sums it up.
TS is also too stubborn.

Spot on.... Smith has to go now. Put simply, we are now back at the point we were at when he took over - A lacklustre side, lacking in confidence, performing below their potential, for a coach that they seem to have little faith in.
If he leaves it much longer, his reputation among Wire fans will be shredded and all the goodwill he has built up will turn to contempt, because at present he gives the impression of a man who sees himself above the observations or opinions of the average fan.
He is adamant that things will turn around, but it seems clear to most onlookers that him and his coaching staff do not have it in them to sort this mess out - Defeat in the Cup would hopefully seal his fate.

I dread to think what state we'd be in without Westwoods work rate. He is still the hardest working guy in our side behind Hill maybe. His defense is always there, never slacks off. And his driving the ball in might not be flashy but he goes 10 metres every time.

| We need one prop one second row (god help you who slagged trent) two half backs and a full back. Ratchfords attempt for that first try was the worst piece of fb play I've seen for a long time. Against the grain but I wouldn't care if we lost stef...the man has no position.

| The first player who needs to go is Joel Monaghan.

It was 6 ball carries & he was our top tackler with 42.

| Getting back in the car last night for the two hour drive home after watching that was terrible!!
First half hour, clueless with the ball but defence was very strong and we were doing ok. Then Sio's try, why was Ratch holding back? Just tackle him, Kelly had overran the ball so he wouldn't have passed inside. Just allowed him too much space.
Second try for them was the hit on Joel, can't do much about it but from then on in, awful!!
Aimless bombs, silly penalties, general lack of enthusiasm, speed, interest it looked like.
Tony Smith has done wonders for this club but something is not right in the camp at present and that unfortunately boils down to the coach and his staff.
We are in need of a major freshen up on and off the pitch and surely Simon Moran as a loyal Warrington supporter can see this.
People can say that we are fickle as we were poor in the Wilderspool years etc. but from the successful years, the club should be getting stronger year upon year but we have gone backwards since 2012, with this year compounding it and being in danger of fizzling out.
We are seriously in danger of missing out on Top 8.
Players to go:
Joel Monas (lost pace and never a captain, confidence looks shot)
Bridge (great service over years but nows the time to move on)
Atkins (again, good service but now not good enough)
Asotasi (on his way anyway)
England (not quite good enough but works hard)
Penny (just because looks like he is going anyway)
Signings:
Centre - Young with electric pace, something which Lineham will bring on wing, with Ormsby/Evans on the other.
Half Back - looks to be Cronk if believe aus papers.
2 x Props - Two young British props with size and power who can get quick play the ball
Second Row - Someone who can replace Bennie in next two years.
Off the field, Roger Draper has come in and is trying new things but the attendances should be his first issue. Home games are flat and that affects the team. Kids for fiver, free merchandise etc to season ticket holders. I'm no marketing man but something that will get the fans, who at the minute are watching an average side, excited about coming to the match. Bar inside the ground would be something club should definitely look into, this would be a certain money maker.
At the minute, as most fans, I'm a little disheartened. Still be there home and away but something must change.
If we do lose next week, then Tony must go. If we win, which we should, then it would only paper over cracks.
