Get the feeling Tony is being stubborn with regards to the half back situation due to the fact he signed Myler for big money , and will not admit the guy is crap without a leading half

The problem is so obvious and glaring that there MUST be a plan.

I think this season will see us just carry on as we are, putting square pegs in round holes......Then next year we will see a HB brought in.

Cronk will be here next season.....hopefully him and Patton will gel nicely. Until then we'll have to find some other way to scramble to Wembley or OT!

I fear for us , Last year we had monas who kicked out of dummy half and made us some good ground, this season (even against Leeds) we look a bit rudderless when attacking .

agreed.. last season our kicking game was very poor and cost us in the big games when it mattered..... Monas from AHB was the only kind of kicking weapon we had.. now that has gone we have absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Let's get sensible gentlemen.

We've had a preseason disruption at hb.
We only had GOB and Myler fit!
So that realistically would have been how we structured that build up.
Myler gets injured and we bring in 2 half's recovering from injuries at differing intervals, Wheeler and Bridge.

If we bought a snap decision hb to appease the few, what then?...

....a prolong gelling period. ...and then he may get injured.... will we have doomongers saying we need another hb!?

If there is anything we do need it ain't a back it's another prop with some biff in him.

We didn't lose that game through the half's or kicking any more than we did from being dominated by a Saints front row.

There Forwards didn't dominate because they were better , they dominated on the back of a quicker play they ball.

Burns kicking on the 3rd was no fluke. Hull did it to us in the Semi final when Holdsworth kicked us all over the pitch yet again .

Their props were definitely meaner than ours. Our toughest player was Westwood and in contrast, he made our props look soft.

I'll go further to pee off the purest and say Sims hasn't been the all conquering Thor he had been made out to be. imo he is 1/2 Stone too light to be at prop.

i'm getting a bit fed up of half backs passing the ball on to inexperienced backrowers to kick on the last tackle.

Let me make this statement for the record.. In my opinion

Russell and penny aren't good enough for this level. Bridge is working on borrowed time. Atkins has done very little for the last 2 years. We only have Ratchford who knows how to go forward, the rest couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. Let's smell the coffee. Saints are top of the league because they haven't played a decent team as yet and to be honest there are very few in Super league at present. We score all our trys based on the work of forwards. Even I could have score the try that Penny did without the circus act beforehand. We have sufficient go forward but it's the same old story - a set of backs who don't know what to do or are incapable of doing it inside the opposition's 20

For the love of god stop crying. This isn't 2011 anymore. Fact of the matter is, when our forwards get the upper hand, so do we as a team. Last night that didn't happen so neither did we. If anything the scoreline shows how close we can come to beating the top of the league when playing woefully. If Penny had gotten that ball an inch closer to the floor we'd be looking at a potential win. Not bad for a team that some would have you believe is in dire circumstances. We will click. It's a matter of when, until then we'll nickel and dime our way. We have a lot of players to come back. Players who make metres and score tries.
