| Where do people think he will end up? Presuming his illustrious Wire career is coming to an end?

Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!: |
|
| Watch him a couple of times in the U20s team. Seems to be passing on a decade of knowledge to the next lot of talent.

Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

| Jon Clarke has been a great servant to our club and should be applauded for all his efforts over the last 10 years. Remember he has played the majority of his rugby for us in darker times and the relative success we are now enjoying must be great for him. Assuming a lot of the Clarke knockers are working I wonder how many of them can say they have consistently put as much into their chosen profession for the last 10 years. Give the guy a break its people like him that build great clubs as we aspire to be. He cannot help being at the twilight of his career and if that means he moves on I personally wish him all the luck in the world.

Assuming alot in thinking that he has put effort in everyday for 10 years. Plus, comparing Jon Clarke's profession to the everyday mans is a bit naive. dont forget the month's spent out injured where he didn't really have to do anything apart from recover.
No1 really knows whether Clarke has put in 100% every one of his 3650 years he's been with us, except that is Jon Clarke.
If he can walk away (whenever that is) with his head held high, having known he has given his best efforts for the majority of his career, then that is good enough for me.

I dont think I am assuming a lot really I believe it is quite clear to most Wire speccies ( except the hardened anti Clarke bashers amongst us ) that Jon Clarke will have given the best effort he could to his profession and that would include the difficult times when out injured - I would suggest that this time is a little more difficult than just having to sit around & wait to recover both physically & mentally. Read Paul Sculthorpe or Sean Longs biographies and both stress how hard recovery from injury is especially mentally and I would think this requires extra dedication to the cause to try and get back as soon as possible. I dont think any professional sportsman enjoys sitting around in recovery.
I am not naive my friend and I didnt directly compare Jon Clarkes job to yours, mine or anybodys I was simply trying to illustrate that he has, in my opinion, conducted himself very well in his time with Warrington and as such should perhaps be given a little more respect from some people rather than lambasted and criticised sometimes with no reason. You are right though if he can walk away happy he has done a good job then that should be good enough for him and anyone else.
