It could be we have had some talks with King and it would not be crazy to think he has tried to get a deal close to what he is already on and we are not even close. Hence no news news and Hull have offered a tenner more than us.

Thing is King is very cheap on the cap for us. I won't lose any sleep if he moves on but I thought we would be extending him for that reason alone. 

Burgess spoke glowingly about Harrison after the Saints match. 

King is cheap on the Salary Cap, but it then depends how long of a new contract he can get off another club.

Lindop and Taylor-Wray are looking like they will both be XFactor players in the very near future and Wire will need to vastly improve on their current extended contracts that they have already signed to keep them long term.


We can`t give King another contract for more than 2 years so that we have room to accommodate our emerging players.


I think he will leave at the end of the season.

Would be a shame to lose Harrison, he's a good solid prop - what more concerns me is the circumstances if this is indeed (another) 'fall out'. He's replaceable and our front row needs a shake up - but i'd rather keep hold of him.


King again is a decent solid player, good defensively, makes decent yards - not particularly creative - but a solid option.  I'd be ok retaining him, but wouldn't make the same mistake contract wise.  We have Lindop who hopefully will be our go to centre for years to come, and Wrench still has to make good on his potential, King and Tai out, Lindop, a fully fit Wrench plus overseas centre would be nice. Prop needs we have done to death, I think next year will be a season too far for Vaughan personally.

I think Wire will sign him, and release Russell to create a Quota space so that we can seal the deal.

Harrison is going nowhere, King although is a good solid player is a head acratcher. If he stays happy days, if he goes happy days.
So as it's looking Vaughan out and Byrne in, although i don't think Byrne is as good as Vaughan. 
NRL Musgrove seems to have finally gotten off the plane and arrived. But not sure if it's just a case of he got dropped and he's playing for a new contract, rather than he's finally found his groove, so we need at least another prop if he goes. Chris Satae would do nicely as a replacement.
Philbin and Max Wood off the bench is good with Yates rotating at prop/loose. But then after that who do we really have that's established. Plus if King goes we lose the cap advantage we'll have less cap space to work with.
Just not sure whats gonna happen for next year.

I can't see Amone going anywhere except Leigh, he loved it there, won a challenge cup, and all his mates are there. Would be great to have him but i just can't see it.
If Russell did go i'm happy in the case that Holroyd would take that spot permanently, but also would feel bad for Russell.
I get he's had a few weak games but the display he put in against Catalans (i think it was) shows he can perform at this level. He was superb that gane, tackled everything that move, hit hard in defense and took some good hard runs in. But he doesn't have the consistancy so far, if he stays i hope he can develop that consistancy.
