He's under contract. He signed an extension to end of 2026 with an option for further year. Something is off here. 

Harrison isn`t O.O.C until the end of next season and Wire aren`t a selling club so Harrison will be at Wire until the end of 2026.

There is a lot of noise about Toby King signing for Hull FC for next season and I think that rumour has legs.


Wire usually tie down the players that they are keen on keeping before they become available on the open market, but haven`t done that with King. 

He's had a bust up with Burgess apparently and we've agreed a fee for an early release. I'm only going off what some Hull and Wire ITK are saying.


Non of these are Abe though so, well wait and see

He played the full 80 minutes for Burgess in our last match and did great.

Wire can`t afford to release him without a better player being signed by us so I will be shocked if he leaves now.


I recently read on the FC forum that Hull were signing Aaron Lindop which is absolute tosh.

That Lindop thing must be more wishful thinking than anything.


Person who told me knew about Batchelor, Bell and Pryce. He might have this one wrong, but he's been right so far

It could be we have had some talks with King and it would not be crazy to think he has tried to get a deal close to what he is already on and we are not even close. Hence no news news and Hull have offered a tenner more than us.

Thing is King is very cheap on the cap for us. I won't lose any sleep if he moves on but I thought we would be extending him for that reason alone. 

Burgess spoke glowingly about Harrison after the Saints match. 

King is cheap on the Salary Cap, but it then depends how long of a new contract he can get off another club.

Lindop and Taylor-Wray are looking like they will both be XFactor players in the very near future and Wire will need to vastly improve on their current extended contracts that they have already signed to keep them long term.


We can`t give King another contract for more than 2 years so that we have room to accommodate our emerging players.


I think he will leave at the end of the season.

Would be a shame to lose Harrison, he's a good solid prop - what more concerns me is the circumstances if this is indeed (another) 'fall out'. He's replaceable and our front row needs a shake up - but i'd rather keep hold of him.


King again is a decent solid player, good defensively, makes decent yards - not particularly creative - but a solid option.  I'd be ok retaining him, but wouldn't make the same mistake contract wise.  We have Lindop who hopefully will be our go to centre for years to come, and Wrench still has to make good on his potential, King and Tai out, Lindop, a fully fit Wrench plus overseas centre would be nice. Prop needs we have done to death, I think next year will be a season too far for Vaughan personally.
