| A moral victory tonight. We're better than all the crap and showed that we're a different class tonight.

We have to be ULTRA careful, next Friday
Stains are MASTERS at picking off teams, the week after they've suffered a defeat.
I'll celebrate WHEN (if) we've won. Don't forget, this is Stains we're taking about

| ''The length of time it takes to recover from a hamstring strain or tear will depend on how severe the injury is. A minor muscle pull or strain (grade 1) may take a few days to heal, whereas it could take weeks or months to recover from a muscle tear (grade 2 or 3).''
From NHS website.
Don't mean to be a gloom merchant but hamstring tears can be really nasty and take along time to heal. I've known them take 8 weeks
At least he was walking which is a good sign, but even from that I can still see him being out for a few weeks.
(I've got a grade one and am off to the physio tomorrow)

| As soon as Sandow went down it was obviously hamstring or calf and I wanted them to get him off ASAP. I would rather miss him for the rest of that game and maybe the next one or two weeks rather than stay on and get carried off with six to eight or more out. I'm pleased that not only did he not carry on, but he walked off unaided. Hopefully just going to be a week or two at most

| Interesting comments from TS on the Beeb RL website alluding to the opposition tactics-in my view of course!.
"I couldn't care less if Wigan were going to win it, I was worried about my players. It was tough, we couldn't rotate them after losing those two players in the first half.
"We had a number of players who shouldn't have been on there after a while with some of the knocks they took.
"I saw the determination of the players - they weren't going to let it slip. Their defence was enormous tonight."

| Yes we have lost a definite game breaker for a few weeks with Chris Sandow....time for the coaching staff to earn their corn in the next seven days & come up with an alternative.

I disagree, I don't think that was about Wigan, more about the Easter schedule.

| Wigan did remarkably well to get within 10 points, when I looked at the team sheet I thought we'd win easily. They had a lot of players out and would love to see a game between two fully fit squads.

| Just a note on underhand tactics; Wigan players not standing still whilst conversions were being taken and when Gidley was taking the last penalty one Wigan player 'tackling' the posts making them wobble.
Thankfully in that last case Hicks noticed it and stopped him. Pathetic that Wane has got his team doing such tactics.

| There really is no need for players to stand anywhere near the posts,it is just a tradition. They should be stood in the corner away from the side the goalkick is coming from or even be allowed to take up their positions for the restart.

You could be right Alffi.
Strange that it appears we also end up with more injuries when we play the goons though

| Warrington's front row players of four props and hooker made 527 metres whilst Wigan's made 152 metres.
Chris Hill himself made more metres than Wigan's front five put together. Surely heading for man of steel this year.
Mind you once Dom Crosby is fit they'll be no stopping the Wigan pack.

| Amazing effort from everyone last night. I think Ratchford was more impressive in the halves with Gidley than he was with Sandow; he has creativity but not the organising ability, like Sandow.
Also I can't believe nobody has mentioned that hilarious try from Atkins, that was amazing! I couldn't believe he'd managed to get it down, I laughed so much watching the replay.

Reminded me a bit of Solomona's try at the pie dome whilst playing for Wakefield a while back, a maul of defenders around him and just pops his arm away to score.

| Gidley brings game management, Ratchford was always switched on to that too.
The grubbers to touch, the penalty that we took an eternity to decide on then took about 4 minutes to convert so the lads could get a breather.
Tell you one thing though, the Wire lads got a second wind near the end when Wigan had a scrum on the 10 line and the Wire fans just stood up in unison and started singing louder than they had all night. It was impromptu 'volume' wise, people just stood up and you could physically see it energise the players. It just lifted them and took us over the line.
