You're judging on quantity and not quality...... The old Kowloon on Manchester Road used to serve small portions, but had the finest chips, peas and fishcake you will ever taste.....I'm sure only Mrs Chow had the recipe to those magic fishcakes!!...

The best I've found in Warrington are the Plaice Station and Cantilever. The PS is far too expensive and as mentioned operates like the banking industry, it's open when you don't want it but closed when you do. Cantilever is prone to random closing too, but is very nice.

I don't think you can beat that place round the corner from HKR's ground.
The fish is absolutely enormous.
Locally I tend to use that chinese opposite Vicky park or the Kowloon(nowhere near as bad as previously suggested IMO)
If you want to taste cak try the Captains Table!

Used to love Vera's when she ran it. It never recovered after her successor ruined it.
