I've said on this Site on many occasions that Parry was my boyhood hero and I make no apologies for doing it again. I consider that he was the best Warrington Scrum Half that I've seen, and I include Alan Langer and Andy Gregory in that.
He was a star in the bad days at the end of the sixties and got his rewards in the Murphy era. Seeing him at Wembley in August brought back so many great memories. RIP Parry.

RIP Parry what can be said that hasnt been said or thought already, all my thoughts are with his family and friends, he was a big part of the rugby league family and will be missed by many, but will live on in our thoughts and hearts, great and legend do him justice

Thoughts go out to Parry's family and friends. Played in the team when I first started watching Wire and a true RL great.

Saw him at Wembley winning the challenge cup with Wire in 74.

when i was a kid . i was always parry when i was playing. the great man got me into playin rugby as a kid. a real legend and hero.

One of the best scrum halves Ive ever seen and a real gentleman. Lighting quick around the scrum , tackled well above his weight and played in an era when the game could be brutal. I believe that Bobby Fulton once descibed him as the best No 7 he'd ever played alongside. He'll be missed by all who new him or had the peasure to see him play.
