we went in the stag one new years day to have a meal, about 16 of us the land lord actually served me then when we were all served and sat down he told us we would have to leave because i had my son with me in his push chair, as someone said earlier he was fast asleep making no noise at all, complete toxxer if ya ask me

Pubs are for adults.

You could try being better parents and do something fun with your kids not take them to the pub so you can sink a few.

You on about 'Frank the W**k' mate? I once got told off by him for pressing the button that ejects the balls on a pool table too long, he said it wasted the battery.

Its not always a case of people going to the pub for hours and hours on end so they can ignore the children and get drunk though!

When I was younger we often used to go to the pub at the end of a day out as a family either for a meal together or just for a drink or 2 before going home.

..and I'd reckon these were family friendly, food orientated pubs, not back water drinking dens.

Then you would reckon wrong, we went into a variety of different pubs depending where we were at the time and what was in the area.

A lot of them were small "traditional/country" pubs, some where more welcoming than others, a lot weren't food orientated.

When I was a kid during the Sixties kids were not allowed in pubs at all - we had to sit in the car with a bottle of lemonade and a straw whilst mummy and daddy boozed and no one thought it in the least bit odd , cruel or negligient ...
