Next weeks game can go either way.

As I've said on other threads I think whoever wins next week will win the Challenge Cup and the losers will take the League Leaders shield.

Then the play offs will be down to who has most fit bodies available.

Anyway, we'll be in the Irish Club around 2:30 next week, come and have a beer and a chat, we're always up for a good rugby discussion.

May I thank you for pointing out that I do know the difference between the two words, and it was merely a typo, caused by an unfortunate accident involving a pint of Guinness and my keyboard a couple of weeks ago.

Dont know if it's just arrogance on my part or my confidence in TS wire team that this season i honestly dont fear wigan like i used to. Last year i reckon wigans was a much better side than this years, think Lima can be a liability, fielden still not fit, coley not been any where near as solid as last year and even finch doesnt look as good as i thought he would be. Dont get me wrong im not saying that wigan couldnt turn us over but for me personally the fear factor i had (specially before our last CC meeting in 09) has disappeared.

I think Finch has been outstanding, he's settled a lot better than I thought I would. Some of the short passes he's delivered at the line when I've seen them have been sublime. Apart from Tomkins in broken field, I think he's Wigan's greatest threat.

Don't get me wrong, I still think it'll be fifty.

From the little I've seen of him lately, he's starting to look the part. If only there were some Wigan fans this forum, they could give us an honest appraisal of his recent performances.

I think we'll win, and I think we'll do it with something to spare. I think it'll be a see-saw encounter for fifty/sixty mins or so, then we'll win the game.

I'm yet to think of a game under Smith when we've failed to lift. Maybe Hudds at home in the playoffs, but physically we were shattered then. We've not lost in the cup since I was about 13.

Maybe im still rating him off his first game when we beat them, but i certainly dont think he's been outstanding. Out of the trio that came to wigan last winter, i think Hoffman has been outstanding and think it will be a massive loss to wigan when he goes back home at the end of the year.
