On last night's evidence, I'd say not.


Sneyd's kicks gave us 400m more positional advantage than Saints' kicks.   May not sound that important, but when you consider how much time they spent on our line, and how little we did on theirs (in attack) it's a telling statistic.   It's exactly what we've been looking for since the end of 2013.

What are sky banging on with all this euphemistic talk about "changes in the game"? Just say what the hell is happening?

Hearing rumours of a takeover by the NRL.   Not sure if this is what they were referring to?   Probably horlicks but I guess we'll see.

A tired one with a handful of players capable of being brilliant in one set and lousy in another.

The complete board of the RFL has been ousted (long overdue) and the relationship between the SL and RFL is under review. There is also the NRL takeover potential. 

Harry Newman, not so long back is dad was on social media asking fans not to pick on him. Did not do himself any favours at the end of the game, what a prize plum.

Do you think Nigel Wood is the right person to lead that review?

Eamonn McManus seems to, which is an even more shocking indictment than a quick read through Wood's previous record in senior positions in the game.

Always reminds me of nice but dim off Harry Enfield, and acts like him as well 

I'm not sure they had many alternatives for an emergency, temporary appointment and he seems to have the backing of the clubs. The statement from McManus pulls no punches. 

Did he start the scuffle? What did he do? 

There is a thread on Redvee titled state of the game and a poster on there quotes a tweet from Steve Mascord saying the NRL will have nothing to do with us while Wood is involved. It then goes on to mention this is why Beaumont and McManus want Wood in because they don’t have the cash to compete with what the NRL want to do with the sport here.


Another interesting thing is did anyone pick up on what Carney was saying about the sport before kick off that bigger things are about to happen in the next few weeks than when we went to Summer rugby.
