| If Shaun Wane is on his way to Wire, you can bet Charnley will want to leave. They hate each other.

Would Charnley be missed, as we're allergic to passing to him?

Pile your money on Charley to top score.
Last season was to lull the league into a false sense of security, this time they won’t be able to cope with the KingCharnley axis.

| The only potential fly in the ointment is if the opposition keep trapping poor old Charners in the tackle. (This is not a reference to Makinson/Lineham tackle technique).

| The more I think about it the more Powell seems the better choice. Will wane have the hunger to win superleague with us the same way he wanted it with Wigan? Powell has never won it and will want it as much as we do IMO. Tony Smith won it with Leeds but he didn't with us so the major draw people have with Wane is flawed in my eyes.
I do like Sean Wane and wouldn't be disappointed, but having missed out on Watson my next choice would be Powell in terms of coaches who get the best from their squads and budgets.

| Wane has only ever coached 1 club team - Wigan. The man is Wigan through and through. Would he bring the same desire to another club?

Ashton will be our top try scorer if Price selects him on the wing, with Inglis playing as his centre partner.

more 'Wigan' than Andy Farrell, Shaun Edwards and Ellery Hanley? Money talks...and he would want to win wherever he works.

Don't really see this as a problem with professional sportsmen. They're not quite like fans.
It's a job to most of them and the cost of doing it badly is their job and reputation. It being a club that were once their rivals seems of secondary importance to ability and personal determination/resilience/motivation.
In other words, if he fails, it won't be because of Wigan-Warrington tribalism.

I think the opposite. GI is rightfully more greedy than that.

Those guys had all ditched Wigan even before they finished playing...in two cases to sign for direct rivals!
