Ok for me
A1 pass for Manu's try
Pathetic for that first half kicking game .
For me, he's doing ok. Nothing more or less.
An upgrade is all I want. I want him to be great
He plays in P&B, after all

I think tonight perfectly illustrates Dec Patton....for every good thing he does..he does something bad. He did OK today...he just needs to cut out the silly mistakes. The pass for the 1st try was excellent. The kick out on the full was poor. I hope more game time will improve his game.

| Great stuff from Wire following the defeat at Catalans.
This is the kind of thing I like to see, because its something that we didn't used to be good at. We have often been a team that can turn one defeat in to a run of bad form. I have confidence with Steve Price's set up that the dressing room has a kind of resilience that they can move on and get back on the horse as though a defeat never happened.
I think the opening to the season looks really encouraging, although I'm not getting ahead of myself.
As for the Sky commentators, I'm not sure why people get so worked up about them. As long as we win, if the pundits are obviously unhappy and wanted the script to be different, that's funnier for me, because they have to still commentate on us winning and obviously hate it. I get more entertainment from that than if they were sucking up to us.
Although I would find it even more amusing if Paul Cullen was in the studio with them.

| Indeed regardless of the shape of the opposition our response was much better than that of old. Price has us in excellent shape. We're 4 from 5 and we're nowhere near our potential. We're looking tidy. Just like to say my MOM was Philbin....he was excellent when he came on and if he was wearing a red v he'd be getting pawed to death (he's better than Lees and Knowles).

| Dec Patton was key for me.
Couple of dumb kicks early doors but they wasn't in a risk region.
....however, who dares wins...and he did.
My mom.

Him and Hughes from the pack have claims.
Hill frustrating again with dumb penalties this season.

| Agree about Philbin. There was a ridiculous point last night when an obviously bored Phil Clarke tried to spark a debate about starting Philbin from the off. His off the bench impact is everything, so, the ‘debate’ was a non starter.
Then again, Clarke has always likes a ‘mass-debate’!
Thought BMM played hard. Sometimes I cringe when he goes in with the ball, I always fear an injury or a stupid knock on, but last night he was solid.

Tbh, I think the point he was making there was that tasi is a bit . I had my reservations about him when it was announced, he's a shirt filler currently, I'm not seeing any upside to playing him.

| I was watching this game with a guy who hasn't watched RL previously he was full of praise for the game as we all are, but he did ask why the team appeared in better shape without the "big fella with the black hat" and when he came back on in the second half the opposition became stronger and scored. I watched it back when I got home and kind of agree with him?
Overall from me a good performance and great to see Ben Currie playing and doing 80 unscathed minutes

Interesting observation! Morale is a huge influence and one wonders how the team feels when a well known ‘penalty machine’ comes back on? I mean, if more than a few of us as spectators view him that way, you’d imagine the lads do, to a point, whether he’s the captain or not? I also think his gobbiness doesn’t do us any favours either.
