Correct, the worry about the middle 8's is you have to win 5 out of your 7 to avoid the million pound game.

and as Salford fans have highlighted last season they were a decent enough team and would have made the top 8 without their points deduction for cheating.

One of our proudest records is never having played outside the top flight in 140 years....it's impressive. Tony smith could well get the end of that achievement on his cv. In a time when our club has huge financial backing, the best crowds for decades, wonderful training facilities and playing in a very low quality league-that would really take some doing.

Please can we have a Smith out poll now? I am interested to know if there remains any/some/ a lot of support for Smith from board members who are hiding under the parapet. They tend to come out anonymously in polls, or when we win a game and say "where are the haters now?".
